Jon Nolan earns Shrewsbury a point at Northampton

Shrewsbury missed the chance to go back to the top of the Sky Bet League One table after being held to a 1-1 draw at Northampton.Shay Facey's first-half goal gave the Cobblers a surprise lead but Jon Nolan struck midway through the second period to send Shrewsbury home with a point.Both teams could have taken an early lead when Dean Henderson pushed Kevin van Veen's effort around the post and then Shrewsbury skipper Abu Agogo headed just wide.The opening goal came on the brink of half-time and went the way of the struggling hosts when Boris Mathis and Joe Bunney combined on the left for the latter to send in a teasing cross that was steered home by Facey.Tempers boiled over in the second half when John-Joe O'Toole and Ogogo both saw red after a tussle on the ground, and Shrewsbury were then level within moments as a half-cleared free-kick fell to Jon Nolan whose first-time volley found the bottom corner.Omar Beckles missed a late chance to win it as Northampton held on for a point.
