Marseille still have work to do to clinch a Champions League place after Guingamp rallied to hold 10 men to a 3-3 draw at the Stade de Roudourou.

Florian Thauvin scored twice and set up another but Europa League finalists Marseille could not claim the three points that would have lifted them to second place in the Ligue 1 table.

Thauvin found Valere Germain for a second-minute headed opener and the former Newcastle winger then turned scorer with a header of his own in the 14th minute.

Guingamp pulled one back through Clement Grenier just before half-time and they were level when the same player converted a penalty in the 52nd minute after Lucas Ocampos handled the ball in the box.

Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda was shown a red card after bringing Jimmy Briand down and the fouled striker dusted himself off before slotting in the spot-kick to put Guingamp ahead on 70 minutes.

With nine minutes remaining, however, Thauvin bagged his brace by turning home a Bouna Sarr assist.
