Johan Audel lays on two assists as Martinique beats Nicaragua
Martinique began their 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup campaign in style, defeating Nicaragua 2-0 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville on Saturday.
Les Matinino's all-time leading goalscorer Kevin Parsemain opened the scoring for Louis Marianne's side in the 35th minute, nodding in Johan Audel's cross following a corner.
Steeven Langil then doubled Martinique's advantage just after the hour mark, firing home after another fine feed from Audel.
Martinique will now play tournament hosts the United States on Thursday, while Nicaragua take on Panama in their next Group B match.
