Dynamo Kiev smash six past nine-man Besiktas

Dynamo Kiev crashed out of the Champions League on a high after crushing nine-man Besiktas 6-0 at the Olympic Stadium.

Besiktas needed to win to have any hope of advancing to the knockout stages but must settle for a place in the Europa League after being comprehensively outplayed.

The hosts went ahead in the ninth minute when a quick throw-in caught Besiktas off-guard and Andriy Yarmolenko cut into the box and fired the ball across the face of goal and Artem Besyedin arrived at the far post to turn home from close range.

And they doubled their advantage in the 31st minute when Andreas Beck was dismissed after Scottish referee Craig Thompson adjudged he fouled Derlis Gonzalez after they collided in the box and Yarmolenko stroked home from the spot.

Kiev added a third just two minutes later when Dusko Tosic dallied on the ball and was dispossessed by Serhiy Sydorchuk and, after Fabri Agosto rushed out to block his shot, the loose ball was lifted into the net by Vitaliy Buyalsky.

Gonzalez's deflected shot on the stroke of half-time made it four and Besiktas then got off to the worst possible start in the second half when Vincent Aboubakar was sent off in the 56th minute for a second yellow card for kicking the ball away in frustration.

Buyalsky's cross four minutes later picked out Sydorchuk to rifle home a fifth and Junior Moraes tapped home the sixth with his first touch after coming off the bench when Fabri's block from Yarmolenko's shot fell into his path.
