Lorient 1-0 GFC Ajaccio

GFC Ajaccio made an instant return to Ligue 2 after they suffered a 1-0 defeat at out-of-sorts Lorient.
Benjamin Moukandjo's solitary goal proved enough to bring an end to the hosts' run of three successive defeats.
Toulouse's dramatic 3-2 win in Angers meant that, even if Ajaccio had claimed all three points, their fate would have already been decided.
Despite their recent run of poor form, the hosts dominated early proceedings with Ajaccio goalkeeper Clement Maury doing superbly well to deny Moukandjo when through on goal.
An error from Maury almost gifted Lorient the lead moments later but Benjamin Jeannot's weak effort with the goal gaping saw Ajaccio survive again.
And the hosts' early dominance paid off just before the half-hour mark when Moukandjo rounded off a counter-attack after Jimmy Cabot played him in following a flick-on from goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte's lengthy kick.
Lorient's lead remained intact at the break but Ajaccio almost levelled after the restart when Damjan Djokovic's free-kick fell to Roderic Filippi at the back post but the defender failed to find the target.
