Yeovil enhance survival chances with victory over Accrington

Yeovil took a big leap towards League Two survival with a 1-0 win at home to Accrington Stanley.Ryan Dickson scored the decisive goal on 64 minutes after he latched onto Francois Zoko's through ball to lift the Glovers six points clear of the relegation zone. The visitors created the better of the chances at Huish Park, but an inspired display from Glovers goalkeeper Artur Krysiak saw the hosts keep promotion-chasing Stanley at bay.Accrington came close to taking the lead on 28 minutes when Billy Kee headed a Pietro Mingoia cross towards goal, only for Krysiak to stretch and somehow keep the ball out.Stanley went close again a minute before half-time when Matty Crooks burst forward and drove a low shot from distance, Krysiak again on hand to tip around the post.An uneventful start to the second half ensued, before Yeovil struck with their first clear cut chance of the match. Good hold-up play on the edge of the box saw Zoko free up space in the Accrington penalty area, and the Ivorian found Dickson with a through ball, giving him the perfect invitation to slot home past Etheridge.Accrington pressed for an equaliser, with Seamus McCarten and Sean McConville going close, but man of the match Krysiak was on hand to deny them.
