Reigning Irish League champions Cliftonville bowed out of the Champions League at the second qualifying round stage after Debrecen completed a 2-0 aggregate victory.
After the first leg in Belfast had ended 0-0, the opening half at the Debrecen Stadium also reached the halfway stage scoreless.
But after Jamie McGovern was shown a red card early in the second period, Rene Mihelic scored from the resulting free-kick to put the hosts ahead.
And Ibrahim Sidibe added a second 11 minutes from time to end any hopes of a Cliftonville success.
