Bayern Munich beat Tottenham 2-1 in South Korea on Saturday in the first of two preseason friendly matches between the sides.

Bayern forward Gabriel Vidovic, 20, scored in the first five minutes to give the German side the lead in Seoul, before Leon Goretzka doubled their lead in the second half.

Pedro Porro scored in the 66th minute to give Spurs hope of a positive result, but Ange Postecoglou's side couldn't find an equaliser.

The two teams travel to London before they meet again at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next Saturday.

Tottenham travel to Leicester City on Aug. 19 to kick off their Premier League season, while Bayern and new boss Vincent Kompany open their Bundesliga campaign against Wolfsburg on Aug. 25.
