Rochdale ease past Slough to set up Doncaster clash
Rochdale avoided an FA Cup embarrassment as they ran out comfortable 4-0 winners at Slough Town.
Goals from Calvin Andrew, Callum Camps, Ian Henderson and Matt Done ensured the Southern Premier League side's run went no further as Dale booked a third-round meeting with Doncaster.
It was evident that it would be Dale's night from the moment they broke through in the 13th minute. Joe Bunney fizzed in a dangerous low cross from the left that Andrew finished from close range.
Lee Togwell saw a flying header go narrowly wide from Nathan Smart's cross on the stroke of half-time before Dale skipper Henderson sent a half-volley crashing against a post.
The visitors eventually gave themselves breathing space halfway through the second half when Camps' low free-kick sped into the bottom corner.
Slough almost got themselves back into the game when Smart's wonderful strike came back off the crossbar but Henderson's deflected effort and Done's shot in off the crossbar added extra gloss late on.
