Matt Paterson fires Oxford City to shock victory at Colchester

Non-league Oxford City caused a big FA Cup shock by winning 1-0 at Sky Bet League Two side Colchester to progress to the second round.
Matt Paterson's strike early in the second half helped the Vanarama National League South strugglers enjoy a memorable victory at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
Colchester came close to scoring in the 27th minute when Tom Eastman's header struck the bar.
But City came equally as close two minutes later when Paterson's fine free-kick from the edge of the area rattled the frame of the goal.
Mikael Mandron blasted wastefully over from 14 yards soon after and Paterson curled inches wide for the visitors just before half-time.
And the non-league side went ahead barely 30 seconds after the break when Paterson finished confidently after Doug Loft lost possession midway inside his own half and Dave Pearce delivered a cross.
Kyel Reid's deflected free-kick from the edge of the area flashed inches wide and Jack Stevens denied substitute Craig Slater while Lewis Kinsella also went close.
