Cambridge hold on to take point off leaders Leyton Orient

Jay Simpson's fifth goal of the season saw Leyton Orient rescue a point in a 1-1 draw against Cambridge in League Two.Jacob Blyth gave the U's the lead eight minutes after coming on as a half time substitute, stabbing home from close range after excellent build-up play by Liam Hughes and Mickey Demetriou. However Orient were level 18 minutes from time when Jay Simpson ran onto Mathieu Baudry's lofted pass and fired beyond Chris Dunn. After Josh Coulson headed Luke Berry's corner just wide for the hosts, Cambridge were indebted to Dunn for keeping his side level in the first half.Simpson rounded him after 26 minutes but hit the outside of the post, while he made a tip-over stop from Connor Essam's firm header from Lloyd James' corner.Just before the interval Dunn smothered Sammy Moore's effort around the post before making a fine save when Paul McCallum was unchallenged from another James corner. Moore's long range blast deep into stoppage time forced another good save from Dunn to preserve a point for Cambridge.
