The All-Star Game between MLS and Liga MX, the Leagues Cup and Campeones Cup, have all been canceled this year because of the coronavirus pandemic, the leagues announced on Tuesday.

The All-Star Game is likely to be played in the same venue for 2021. The Leagues Cup and Campeones are scheduled to return in 2021.
"The 2021 MLS All-Star Game and festivities are expected to take place in Los Angeles at the same venue," read the statement. "MLS and LIGA MX will resume discussions regarding the event, and there is every expectation that next year's All-Star Game will be MLS vs. LIGA MX in Los Angeles."
The All-Star Game was the first time the two leagues would play each other in such a competition and came after increasing links between MLS and Liga MX were formalized in a strategic alliance in March 2018.
The Leagues Cup competition was expanded from eight to 16 clubs for the 2020 edition, the tournament's second, and was set to be played from July through September. The Campeones Cup showcases the MLS champion against the Liga MX Campeon de Campeones.
MLS also announced that it is reviewing proposals from three cities to host the 2022 MLS All-Star Game.
