Dinamo Moscow express interest in Marseille's Andre-Pierre Gignac

Andre-Pierre Gignac could join former Marseille teammate Mathieu Valbuena at Dinamo Moscow, according to the Russian club's sporting director.

Valbuena, 30, left the Stade Velodrome last summer at the expiration of his contract to move to Dinamo where he has since prospered.

Gignac, 29, will find himself in the same position in June, and with no new deal from the Ligue 1 club on the table, the ex-Lorient and Toulouse striker -- who has reportedly also attracted interest from Inter Milan -- may be reunited with Valbuena.

"We have spoken to Gignac's agent," Dinamo sporting director Guram Adzhoev told a Russian press agency, according to La Provence. "The player is interested in a transfer to Dinamo Moscow, but he has scored a lot of goals this season and his price has gone up."

Gignac, who has scored 13 Ligue 1 goals this season, has suggested he would remain at Marseille -- the club he supported as a boy -- if they offer him an acceptable deal.

While the striker could move on, police continue to investigate alleged fraudulent payments made during his transfer to OM from Toulouse in 2010, as well as the arrival of Souleymane Diawara from Bordeaux the previous year.

Police extended the custody period of Marseille's former sporting director Jose Anigo on Wednesday to give themselves more time to question him over the matter, which has been ongoing since 2011.

RMC reported that a total of 14 people, including former OM player Cyril Rool, agents and members of the Marseille underworld, are being interviewed by police.

Anigo left his role at OM last summer to move to Morocco where he scouts for the club. He volunteered to return to France to cooperate with police on the matter.
