Bayern Munich-bound Nike Kovac replaced by Adi Hutter at Eintracht Frankfurt

Eintracht Frankfurt have announced Adi Hutter will replace Niko Kovac as head coach at the end of the season.

Hutter has signed a deal until the summer of 2021 after deciding to leave Young Boys following their surprise title success in Switzerland.

Frankfurt were searching for a new coach after Kovac agreed to take over at Bayern Munich, the opponents for his final game in charge in Saturday's DFB-Pokal final.

Sporting director Fredi Bobic told the club's official website: "He has proved at several clubs that he can make the most out of limited resources through hard work, so he fits in perfectly with our club.

"Adi has always been our preferred candidate, and our constructive discussions have finally come to a good result and we look forward to a good relationship."

The Austrian, who will lead Young Boys for the last time in the final of the Swiss Cup on May 27, previously managed FC Salzburg, where he won the league and cup in his only season.

"I experienced three wonderful years with the Young Boys and felt extremely happy," he said. "I will always remember this time, especially winning the championship title and the unique emotions and celebrations.

"The move to Eintracht Frankfurt is a dream come true for me."
