Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti irritated by Franck Ribery booking

Bayern Munich coach Carlo Ancelotti criticised Franck Ribery after the winger was booked for tangling with Felipe Melo during a friendly against Inter Milan.

Bayern beat Inter 4-1 in the International Champions Cup as Julian Green scored a hat trick, with Ribery also on the scoresheet.

But the France international, captaining Bayern, became involved in a skirmish with Brazil international Melo in the first half.

Minutes after Melo had brought the winger down with a sliding challenge, Ribery shoved him to the ground and was booked.

"I told him that I don't like players that are behaving like that," Ancelotti said at a news conference.

"There was provocation -- but that doesn't matter. He was the captain, and I told him to stop."

Meanwhile, Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said on Saturday that Ribery should not have criticised former coach Pep Guardiola.

Ribery said Guardiola "lacks experience" but Rummenigge said: "I don't think there is a reason to bad-mouth Pep Guardiola.

"We have won a lot together with him and also benefited a good deal from him. Speaking ill of him is pointless."

Rummenigge added that both Ribery and Arjen Robben could get contract extensions, with their current deals due to expire in 2017.

"Franck and Arjen both achieved greatness for us," he told German paper Bild. "We should wait and see for a few months, and then we will lead fair negotiations."
