Fabian Orellana accuses Celta Vigo boss Eduardo Berizzo of disloyalty

Celta Vigo winger Fabian Orellana has accused coach Eduardo Berizzo of being "very disloyal" towards him after being dropped from the squad and told he will never play for the side again.

On Tuesday, Berizzo said Chile international Orellana had shown an "unacceptable lack of respect" but did not go into specific details.

Orellana, who has not travelled with the team for Wednesday's Copa del Rey quarterfinal first leg at Real Madrid, told Chilean outlet Emol: "Just as the coach didn't enter into details, I will not say what happened.

"But it wasn't as serious as the coach painted it. All I have to say is that Berizzo was very disloyal with me.

"I admit I made a mistake but from something small, a big mountain was created.

"He said I disrespected him and the team but it wasn't collective. It was personal between him and me and he transferred it to the professional side.

"It wasn't unacceptable as he said, and it's not the first time he has had problems with players."

Berizzo claimed Orellana, under contract until June 2019, had not said sorry, but the player said: "I tried to apologise to him personally and in front of the group but he would not let me speak.

"The club obviously had to back the coach but I can't understand this decision. I found out three days ago and it came as a total surprise to me."

Orellana has made 113 appearances for Celta since joining from Granada in 2013.

His agent Fernando Felisevich said he was considering leaving the club "immediately," telling Cadena Ser radio his client had received 20 offers from Argentina, Brazil and Spain, including one from Valencia.

"If I have to leave, I will in a manner that I didn't want," Orellana said. "If the coach and the club want it to be like this, then I will have to pack my bags.

"I have a contract with Celta and I will calmly wait to see what happens in the next two weeks before taking a decision."
