Man Utd in right-back conundrum

Manchester United are still interested in Tottenham Hotspur right-back Kieran Trippier, but fear being held to ransom by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, says the Mirror.

It reports that the North Londoners want around £30 million for the England international, despite his uninspiring Premier League season after being a standout performer at last summer's World Cup.

Trippier's dip in form has seen him axed from Gareth Southgate's squad for the Nations League, while the fee quoted by Levy has given United plenty to think about with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also considering Crystal Palace's Aaron Wan-Bissaka as an option.

Wan-Bissaka has been a revelation at Selhurst Park and the 21-year-old represents a much younger option than 27-year-old Trippier -- but at £45m, he is also much more expensive.

22.49 BST: The chances of Valencia striker Rodrigo joining Barcelona have grown "significantly" in the past few days, according to Sport.

Barca have already begun talks with the Copa del Rey winners for the player, with the outlet reporting Barca have offered a three-year contract that contains a release clause of a whopping €120 million to the 28-year-old Brazil-born Spain international.

21:50 BST: If former Arsenal midfielder Edu Gaspar is in fact to be name the club's technical director this summer, he's already sorted out his first signing, says La Gazzetta dello Sport's journalist Nicolo Schira, who reports the Gunners will soon be welcoming 17-year-old Brazilian striker Gabriel Martinelli, who will join the club for £6 million once he turns 18 later this month. 

20.47 BST: Fenerbahce super prospect Eljif Elmas have Atletico Madrid ready to splash €14 million for the 19-year-old who has already played 40 first-team matches for the Turkish side, according to Marca.

19.45 BST: Everton have had a €28 million bid for Roma forward Cengiz Under turned down, according to reports in Italy. Under has also been linked with Arsenal.

18.55 BST: Bernardo Silva has said compatriot Joao Felix, who has been linked with Manchester City and compared with Cristiano Ronaldo, can become one of the best players in the world. Silva told Portuguese outlet RTP that the 19-year-old "can be part of a group that few players can reach" and added: "He has shown that if he works, and if he makes the right choices in his career, he can make a brilliant career."

17.57 BST: Reports in Italy suggest that AC Milan are keen to cut costs over the summer, saying that could mean goodbye to players including Hakan Calhanoglu, Andrea Bertolacci, Diego Laxalt and Samu Castillejo.

16.48 BST: There hasn't been much Mario Balotelli news of late, so here's some for you now -- the Marseille striker, a free agent when his deal with the French club runs out in the summer, has said it would be "an honour" to play for Parma one day.

15.53 BST: Everton's Richarlison, linked with a move to Manchester United, has said he is quite happy where he is, the Manchester Evening News reports.

15.17 BST: Former Spurs striker Roberto Soldado is leaving Turkish club Fenerbahce after two seasons, writing on his Twitter account: "It was a great honour for me to be part of this family. I'm definitely leaving here with great pride at having been part of Turkey's biggest club."

14.40 BST: Despite being manager-less at the moment, Championship side Middlesbrough have been linked with a move for Newcastle striker Dwight Gayle after he scored 24 goals on loan at West Brom last season, according to reports.

13.54 BST: Former Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has said he believes sought-after Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt should join their rivals Manchester City.

United and City are both interested in signing the 19-year-old, but the Manchester Evening news reported Van Gaal as saying: "He could play at Barcelona, but he could play for Manchester City also -- and in that case I would choose Pep Guardiola over Lionel Messi."

13.14 BST: Manchester United will offer Adrien Rabiot £170,000 a week in order to tempt him to choose Old Trafford when he leaves PSG on a free transfer in the summer. Citing reports in France, the Mirror says United hope the huge offer will convince Rabiot to choose them ahead of either Spurs or Juventus.

12.41 BST: Chelsea's England under-21 defender Jay Dasilva is a loan target for Queens Park Rangers, according to reports -- but they face competition from Championship rivals Bristol City, who had Dasilva on loan last season and would like to repeat the deal.

11.50 BST: Could Maurizio Sarri and Massimiliano Allegri swap places this summer?

Allegri has already quit Juventus with Chelsea boss Sarri set to replace him, according to ESPN FC sources, and the Star claims Allegri, who won five straight Serie A titles, has told friends he would be interested in a move to Stamford Bridge.

11.15 BST: Gary Cahill's seven-and-a-half year stay with Chelsea has come to an end, the club have confirmed.

The 33-year-old, who won two Premier League titles, two FA Cups, two Europa Leagues and the Champions League at Chelsea, will be available as a free agent this summer. He has been linked with newly-promoted Aston Villa.

10.30 BST: Not content with prising Eden Hazard from Chelsea, Real Madrid will pursue Paul Pogba in a deal that could see some of their players move in the opposition direction to join Manchester United.

The Sunday Times reports that a €110m deal is in place for Hazard to join Madrid, who would then set about sending Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez, Theo Hernandez or Keylor Navas to Old Trafford in an attempt to negotiate a cut-price deal for Pogba.

09.24 BST: As the eagle-eyed will have spotted below, Romelu Lukaku's days at Manchester United look numbered.

And the Daily Express reckons former Everton and Chelsea striker Lukaku could be on his way to Paris Saint-Germain as a replacement for Atletico Madrid-bound Edinson Cavani.

PAPER TALK (by James Capps): Lukaku hoping for golden goodbye

Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku's hopes of securing a move to Inter Milan rely on United providing him with a huge pay-off, according to the Mirror.

Solskjaer has preferred Marcus Rashford in the lone striker role since taking charge, and Lukaku is desperate to find regular first-team football elsewhere.

Antonio Conte's Inter appear his most likely destination at the moment, but the Italians cannot afford United's £75m asking price or the 26-year-old's £195,000-a-week wages.

But with United keen to offload some of their high earning stars to fund a summer revamp, Inter hope Old Trafford bosses will slash their asking price and offer to subsidise a large chunk of Lukaku's wages for the final three years of his contract.

Zidane considering mass Real clearout

AS claims Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane could sell as many as 14 players in a huge overhaul.

Madrid are looking to make up to six major signings, with Eden Hazard, Christian Eriksen and Paul Pogba all featuring on Zidane's wishlist.

Goalkeeper Keylor Navas is set to be the most high-profile casualty of the Bernabeu exodus, while the futures of fringe duo Marcos Llorente and Dani Ceballos are also in extreme doubt.

Decisions need to made on the futures of Mateo Kovacic and Martin Odegaard, who have enjoyed successful loan spells this season and will be the subject of further interest in the summer.

- Aston Villa's hopes of signing loanee Axel Tuanzebe on a permanent deal from Manchester United have been dashed, with the Mirror reporting that Ole Gunnar Solskajer plans to give the Belgian a full pre-season in the squad to gauge his development ahead of next season.

- Bayern Munich look set to continue pushing for the signing of Manchester City winger Leroy Sane, after the latest contract talks between the Germany international and City failed to end in agreement. The Mirror claims City are unhappy with Bayern's public pursuit of the 23-year-old.

- Manchester United appear to have made their first signing of the summer after Ajax youngster Dillon Hoogewerf announced on his Instagram page that he had joined the club. The 16-year-old has rejected a contract at his boyhood club to make the move to United's academy setup, according to the Sun.
