TOP STORY: United, Juve battle for Portuguese duo
Manchester United and Juventus are prepared to pay €180m to acquire the services of Benfica pair Joao Felix and Ruben Dias for next season, according to Record.
The Portuguese sports daily reports that the Premier League giants and the Italian champions are both negotiating the signing of defender Dias and midfielder Felix -- dubbed "the new Ronaldo" -- with Portuguese agent Jorge Mendes acting as mediator.
Juve and Manchester United are not the only clubs keen to sign the two players with Atletico Madrid also in the race. Atletico consider Dias as an ideal candidate to replace veteran Diego Godin, whose contract with Atletico expires this summer and is expected to join Inter Milan.
A Portugal international, Dias has a €60m release clause. Juve's interest in Dias dates back to last season. The 21-year-old has played 70 official games for Benfica since making his debut in 2017. Benfica turned down a €35m offer from Lyon last summer for Dias and instead extended the player's contract until June 2023.
A Portugal under-21 international, Felix has scored 10 goals in 27 official games in his debut season with Benfica. Felix, who has also been likened to Kaka, has a €120m release clause.
According to Record, Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira wants to make Felix, 19, the most expensive transfer in the history of Portuguese football. Manchester City, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring Felix.

23.04 GMT: Have Man United zeroed in on an Antonio Valencia replacement?
According to Tuttosport, the Red Devils have reopened interest in Juventus full-back Joao Cancelo. United were thought to be in on the former Valencia man this past summer, before the Portugal international decided on Italy and Juventus.
The 24-year-old has been an immediate hit this season in Turin and has even elevated himself among the top full-backs in the world. A seemingly perfect fit for United with Valencia and Ashley Young getting up there in age, it is unlikely Cancelo would be on the move again so soon, especially with international teammate and friend Cristian Ronaldo in Turin.
22.11 GMT: -- DONE DEAL: Here's one for our friends in Australia...
Socceroos defender Aleksandar Susnjar has been transferred to K-League 2 club Busan I-Park. Susnjar, who made his international debut for Australia in March, had previously been playing with Mlada Boleslav in the Czech Republic.
The 23-year-old has lived his career "out of a suitcase" so to speak, as Busan is already his eighth club and South Korea his fifth country -- Lithuania, Australia, Romania and Czech Republic being the others. Susnjar will be hoping his move to Asia will catch the eye of new Australia boss Graham Arnold and earn him more appearances with the Socceroos in the near future.
21.32 GMT: From one disgruntled star to another. Mauro Icardi has finally ended his silence after being stripped of the Inter Milan captaincy. In the aforementioned social media post, Icardi questions whether his "love "for Inter is matched by the club's love for him, and reaffirms his affection and loyalty to the club.
The prolific Argentine frontman has missed Inter's last four games -- and will miss a fifth this weekend at Cagliari -- since losing the captain's armband and has been rumoured with, among others, a mega-money move to Real Madrid. Icardi, who has 15 goals this campaign for the Nerazzurri, is represented by his partner Wanda Nara and is thought to be seeking a new contract.
This is nothing new for Icardi as when the Argentine is around, drama never seems to be too far behind. We'll have to wait and see how these latest comments are received and how they affect both his short-term and long-term future in Milan...
21.00 GMT: At this stage Adrien Rabiot departing PSG in the summer seems inevitable, the relationship between the two sides having completely broken down.
While Barcelona are tipped as the favourites to nab the talented young Frenchman, Arsenal legend Robert Pires believes Arsenal should have the inside track for the player.
Speaking in an interview with bwin, Pires was very complimentary of the talented but difficult 23-year-old. "Rabiot is a very good player and Arsenal should be trying their best to secure his signature before any other club does. Arsenal have the advantage of Emery having already worked with him at PSG, which should hopefully sway Rabiot to join Arsenal.", he added.
"He would be worth a big fee on the transfer market so the fact he's free makes it a no brainer. If Emery can secure Rabiot then I think he'll be able to fill the hole that will be left by Ramsey's departure."
We'll see if the Emery-Rabiot connections pays dividends and Pires gets his wish...
20.13 GMT: We stay in MLS for more news surrounding Toronto FC.
Our own Jeff Carlisle is reporting that TFC's move for Genk attacking midfielder Alejandro Pozuelo is in the "paperwork stage" and that the rumoured "€9 million euro transfer fee and $5m salary are inflated." Pozuelo, a 27-year-old Spaniard who has previous experience with Real Betis, Swansea City, Rayo Vallecano and now Genk, will be tasked with replacing some of the 21 goals and 11 assists TFC lost this offseason with the departures of Sebastian Giovinco and Victor Vazquez.
A playmaker by trade, this season at Genk Pozuelo has seven goals and 18 assists over all competitions.
19.20 GMT: Another big European name to MLS?
Goal.com's Ives Galarcep says former Inter Milan and Real Madrid midfielder Wesley Sneijder is a name that has come up in conversations for some MLS teams.
I'm told FC Cincinnati had opportunity to sign Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder (now playing in Qatar) on a TAM deal, but didn't have enough TAM 💰left to make it work (TBF, Saief is 25 & surely cheaper). I could think of a few #MLS teams that could use Sneijder, even at 34.

Sneijder, who turns 35 in June, finished fourth in the 2010 Ballon d'Or voting and was the named the UEFA Club Midfielder of the Year that same season. Now playing in Qatar with Al-Gharafa, the former Holland captain could be the next European star to join MLS, following the likes of David Beckham, Frank Lampard, David Villa and recently Nani.
Expansion side FC Cincinnati might have passed on Sneijder but don't rule out another team coming in for the well-travelled playmaker.
18.30 GMT: Toronto FC and star striker Jozy Altidore have come to terms on a three-year contract extension.
The 29-year-old is now signed with the Reds through 2022, huge news for a club that has lost stars Sebastian Giovinco and Victor Vazquez this offseason. Altidore, who joined TFC in 2015, has scored 60 goals in 113 appearances for the club, along with winning five trophies -- most notably 2017 MLS Cup.
Altidore has scored 41 times in 110 appearances for the United States and remains a key member of the U.S. international setup.
17.55 GMT: Recent reports in the English press have suggested Manchester United and Chelsea are interested in signing AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli.
However, Rossoneri boss Gennaro Gattuso has said the Italy international is simply not for sale -- whatever the price.
"I can't tell you," Gattuso said when asked how much Romagnoli was worth. "I won't put a price on him or they'll take him away from us.
"For me, there is no price. He's priceless."
17.10 GMT: Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico is being monitored by Real Madrid, Atletico and Arsenal, a source close to the player has told ESPN FC.
The 26-year-old has also attracted interest from Real Betis with his performances over 18 months at Ajax, including three goals in six Champions League group games as the Eredivisie side made it to the knocking out-stages for the first time in over a decade.
ESPN FC understand he is ready to move to Spain, where he feels would adapt more quickly than in the Premier League.
16.22 GMT: Incredibly, The Sun are reporting that Arsenal are going to have to recall Emiliano Martinez from his loan at Championship Reading because they cannot buy another goalkeeper.
No. 2 Petr Cech is retiring from football at the end of the season.
15.25 GMT: It is being claimed on talkSPORT 2 that Manchester United have drawn up a summer transfer list which includes three names.
The report lists Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Kalidou Koulibaly and Ivan Rakitic as the players United will turn to as they look to mount a title challenge.
14.30 GMT: Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang have announced that Argentine midfielder Nicolas Gaitan will move to Major League Soccer to join Chicago Fire.
"From the perspective of the overall planning of the club and its long-term development, after agreeing with the player, Nicolas Gaitan joins Chicago Fire," Dalian said in a statement that gave no details of the deal.
13.37 GMT: Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti wants to sign Real Madrid forward Isco, says Corriere della Sera.
Of course he does. And we wish him all the luck in the world. Inter Milan are also keen, as are Juventus, but Real Madrid would reportedly ask for Alex Sandro if they were going to do a deal with the Old Lady.
12.51 GMT: Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Bayern Munich are all reported in for Roma winger Cengiz Under, and the Italian club are ready to sell him, say Calciomercato.
Under, who could cost €45m, will depart if Roma fail to secure Champions League football, while defender Kostas Manolas and striker Edin Dzeko are also on the chopping block.
12.13 GMT: Reports on social media that Giuseppe Rossi is close to joining Los Angeles FC are wide of the mark, according to an ESPN FC source.
There were suggestions a move to the LA Galaxy had fallen through due to the the forward's wage demands, and that he was on the verge of joining their local rivals. However, the source said that these reports are false and Rossi is still working on his rehabilitation.
11.34 GMT: Scott Parker is expected to take over from Claudio Ranieri on an interim basis at Fulham, with the Italian set to be sacked according to multiple reports in the UK media.
Ranieri was only appointed in November, but a 2-0 defeat to Southampton has the London club staring relegation in the face.
10.26 GMT: AC Milan full-back Davide Calabria is attracting interest from the Premier League.
"Interest from top clubs and Manchester United? No real negotiations, no, but the intentions are there and they have been there," his agent Gianni Vitali told Calciomercato.com.
"I've never sat down with anyone because of the simple fact that he's very happy where he is, he's young and he plays at high levels, it seems to me normal that he could be interesting for important teams: Manchester United has never called me, it has never gone beyond a few chats, it's difficult to find better than Milan.
"The clubs interested? I prefer not to name them, but I can say they were a couple of English clubs and a couple of Spaniards."
09.55 GMT: It's Portugal central in TT today... Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira says young players in Benfica's first team will only leave the club if their release clauses are met.
Benfica defender Ruben Dias and midfielder Joao Felix have attracted the attention of numerous clubs in Europe (see above) while winger Joao Filipe 'Jota', 19, is a reported target of Real Madrid among other clubs.
"Nowadays we don't have the urgency to sell in order to balance our accounts," Vieira told Record. "Our aim is to assure ourselves that our biggest talents remain with us for as long as possible. We don't have as an aim to sell the players that came up through our youth ranks. Only those whose legal requirements are met through their release clause will leave. "Our priority is that this pool of youngsters will be the base of our main teams in the future."
09.14 GMT: Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are set to meet over the future of James Rodriguez, according to TZ.
In January, sources close to the player told ESPN FC that James would stay at Bayern until the end of the season "at least," with a decision to be made about the future of the reported Napoli and Arsenal target.
The Colombia midfielder has a few months left on his two-year loan from Real Madrid, although has not been a regular starter since Niko Kovac took over as Bayern coach last summer and could move on this summer.
08.30 GMT: Manchester City monitoring Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic, according to the Daily Mail.
The Serbia international is the Bundesliga's top scorer so far this season, with 15 goals. That's two more than Bayern Munich front man Robert Lewandowski.
The 21-year-old also has five league assists to his name this term.

Wilson at top of Rodgers' £200 million wish list
Brendan Rodgers has barely had time to put a kettle on in his new office at Leicester, but he's already planning an audacious summer swoop for Bournemouth goal machine Callum Wilson, according to the Sun.
The report states that Wilson could be on his way to Leicester for as much as £40 million should Rodgers get his way. But that could be just the tip of the transfer kitty iceberg, with the paper claiming that Rodgers could be on the receiving end of a £200 million welcome package as he bids to take Leicester back to the pinnacle of English football.
That's not likely to happen again (is it?), but the former Celtic boss is clearly intent on strengthening his squad when the summer transfer window opens at the end of the season.
Chelsea and West Ham have also been linked with Wilson, who has been hampered by injury since the new year, but a move back to the Midlands could be tempting for a player who will have one eye on securing a place in the England squad after making his debut against the U.S. in November. As Rodgers looks to revamp the Leicester squad, Wilson could find himself a man in demand.
Madrid identify Marcelo replacement
Brazilian full-back Marcelo is set to leave Real Madrid this summer, with Juventus his most likely destination.
The Mirror cites Tuttosport as reporting that Madrid have already identified a replacement for the Brazilian full-back. Marcelo has been a fixture in the Spanish capital for 13 years, but this season looks set to be his last at the Bernabeu.
Youngster Sergio Reguilon has been a regular in his place in the new year, but Los Blancos manager Santiago Solari has set his sights on a long-term replacement. The lucky man, apparently, is Ajax's Argentinian full-back Nicolas Tagliafico, with his agent claiming that Madrid have stuck his name on a list titled "wanted."
"Real Madrid have Tagliafico's name on their list because Marcelo is off to Juventus," agent Ricardo Schlieper is quoted as saying.

-- Manchester United are smitten by the aptly named Zito Luvumbo, according to the Sun, which claims that the Red Devils are awaiting the Angolan youth prodigy's arrival for a trial, which could see him sign on the dotted line at Old Trafford before being shipped out on loan to gain experience -- with Portugal the most likely destination.
-- The agent of Andreas Samaris has done little to pour cold water on reports linking the Greek ace with a move to Newcastle. The Newcastle Chronicle cites Portuguese outlet A Bola as reporting quotes from Yannis Emmanouilidis that Samaris is still to discuss a contract renewal from Benfica and that the Portuguese giants have made no move to renew the player's current deal, which will be music to Newcastle's ears.
