Transfer Rater: Nicolas Pepe to Arsenal, Matteo Darmian to Roma

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the Whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Davy Propper to Sevilla

Sevilla are looking to solve their midfield injury crisis by making a move for Brighton's Dutch midfielder once the transfer window opens in January. Maxime Gonalons and Ibrahim Amadou have suffered long-term injuries, and Sevilla believe Propper will add squad depth. Mundo Deportivo believes that the player will cost more than the £6 million Brighton paid PSV to bring him to the Premier League last year.

Matteo Darmian to Roma

The Manchester United full-back has only played one game this season, and is a target for a number of Serie A sides. The Italian could seek a return to his homeland for first-team football with Roma, Internazionale and Juventus all showing interest in the player, according to Calciomercato. Darmian spoke in the summer about his desire to play more regularly.

Nicolas Pepe to Arsenal

The Lille attacker has started the season in fine form with a return of four goals and three assists in six games. His performances have alerted clubs across Europe with Arsenal among the favourites to sign him, according to France Football. A move could happen as early as January when Unai Emery's side will submit an offer for the France-born Ivory Coast international. They could face competition for his signature from Barcelona and Manchester United.

Richmond Boakye to Southampton

Red Star Belgrade players are attracting attention thanks to their qualification for this season's Champions League, with Southampton sending scouts to watch forward Boakye as he scored in the derby against Partizan. Mark Hughes' side could look to make a move for the player, according to ClubCall, but there were a whole host of scouts in attendance at the game including representatives from Borussia Dortmund, Fiorentina, Genoa and Villarreal.

Angel Di Maria to Juventus

The Argentine forward is the latest high-profile name to be linked with a move to Juventus. The Paris Saint-Germain player has three goals and three assists so far this season, but his contract at the Ligue 1 club expires in the summer. Juventus have a history of taking high profile players on free transfers and, according to ilBiancoNero, the 30-year-old could be the next in line.
