The former president, who is serving a six-year ban from football, is also taking legal action to reclaim around 60 wristwatches which he claims belong to him but are currently in FIFA's possession. "These are my watches, give me my watches" the 83-year-old told BBC Sport. "It's important for me. I worked in the watch industry and I made my collection. Forty-one years they were [at FIFA], I could have taken them home, a long time ago. "Why are they fighting for these watches? There is no respect, there is no respect by the president [Gianni Infantino]." As you may recall, Blatter's 17-year reign as president came to a spectacular end in 2015 amid a global investigation into widespread corruption within the FIFA hierarchy. Investigations are also ongoing into possible corruption pertaining to FIFA's decision to award the 2022 World Cup hosting duties to Qatar, which occurred during his presidency. Those are the facts.
