Borussia Dortmund's Nuri Sahin accepted into Harvard Business School

Confounding the assertion that footballers are a little lacking in the intelligence department, Nuri Sahin has announced he's going off to college.

The Borussia Dortmund midfielder hasn't just been accepted into any old college either: we're talking about the prestigious Harvard Business School here.

"I'm pleased to inform you that I've been admitted to Harvard Business School," Sahin, 29, announced on social media. "Super excited about the programme and delighted to meet legendary [Professor] Anita Elberse."

From the Bundesliga to the Ivy League in one fell swoop. Impressive stuff.

Here's wishing him the very best of luck with his studies.
