Ballymena United ball-boy sees red for over-celebrating a goal

Ballymena United came from behind to rescue a 1-1 draw against Coleraine in their League of Ireland derby clash on Tuesday night.

As is the done thing these days, the match was live-tweeted for the duration, with Ballymena's official account dutifully keeping fans abreast of the action in text form.

It was all fairly standard stuff for the most part, as the home side went behind early on, only to rescue a point with a 78th-minute equaliser.

However, things began to get really interesting in the direct aftermath of Johnny McMurray's goal, when Ballymena were forced to emit perhaps the finest live text update in the history of social media.

They weren't lying either, with photographic evidence being offered to show the ball-boy in question being led away from the pitch by security.

All in all, an eventful night in the Irish Premiership!
