LIVE Transfer Talk: PSG seek €50m for Presnel Kimpembe amid Chelsea, Juventus interest

The summer transfer window is here, and there's plenty of gossip swirling about who's moving where. Transfer Talk brings you all the latest buzz on rumours, comings and goings and, of course, done deals!

TOP STORY: PSG seek €50m for Kimpembe deal

Paris Saint-Germain are set to demand a €50 million transfer fee if they are to let defender Presnel Kimpembe leave this summer, reveals Foot Mercato.

The Ligue 1 side are willing to move on the 26-year-old centre-back, who came through the clubs academy before making his professional debut for PSG in 2015, and it is reported that there is interest from both Juventus and Chelsea.

Kimpembe has been a key player in recent seasons, having made 30 appearances in Ligue 1 last year, while he is also a regular in the France national team. He could be open to a Premier League switch to Stamford Bridge, where Thomas Tuchel is looking to reinforce a defensive line that has lost Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger, while there is also uncertainty over whether Cesar Azpilicueta will remain in London.

And amid speculation that Juventus could part ways with Matthijs de Ligt, who has also been linked with Chelsea, Kimpembe could be his successor at the Allianz Stadium if the club open negotiations at PSG's starting point.

21.30 BST: Olympique Lyonnais' transfer business for the day hasn't stopped with Corentin Tolisso, as they have announced that Tete will stay with them until June 2023. This will be the Brazilian's second loan with the Ligue 1 outfit, after he initially joined from Shakhtar Donetsk in March.

21.12 BST: Roma have confirmed the signing of Mile Svilar after the goalkeeper's contract with Benfica came to an end. The 22-year-old has signed a contract that will keep him with the Serie A side until 2027 having made 23 appearances for Benfica, keeping eight clean sheets.

20.44 BST: Right-back is seen as a key area for Atletico de Madrid to strengthen this summer, and Diego Simeone has settled on Real Mallorca's Pablo Maffeo, reports AS.

They had originally wanted Udinese's Nahuel Mollina, but he reportedly proved too costly and Maffeo is seen as a cheaper and quality alternative.

20.00 BST: The Daily Mail have offered an insight into how Everton will build their squad without Richarlison.

They plan to sign James Tarkowski, with the move being completed after his Burnley contract expires. They will also look at Chelsea trio Billy Gilmour, Conor Gallagher and Armando Broja with any move likely to be loans, as well as free agents Christian Eriksen, Jesse Lingard and Andrea Belotti.

Yerry Mina, Allan and Andre Gomes could all be allowed to leave this summer, while the Toffees are reluctant to let Anthony Gordon depart and Dominic Calvert-Lewin is likely to stay.

19.34 BST: Flamengo have confirmed that Andreas Pereira will be returning to Manchester United at end of his loan.

Man United are considering €10 million bid from Fulham for the midfielder, as reported by ESPN's Rob Dawson. The report adds that new Man United manager Erik ten Hag has told Pereira he would like to assess him during the team's preseason tour of Thailand and Australia.

19.11 BST: A move from Internazionale to Atalanta is edging closer for Andrea Pinamonti, reports Calciomercato. The report adds that there is still work to be done as the Nerazzurri want €20m but the Bergamo club have only offered €10m plus €5m in add-ons.

There is motivation on all sides to make a deal happen, though, and Atalanta are willing to let Luis Muriel leave if Pinamonti arrives, with Olympique de Marseille the only club to make an offer for the Colombian so far, falling €5m below La Dea's €15m valuation.

18.39 BST: Crystal Palace have signed goalkeeper Sam Johnstone following the conclusion of his contract with West Bromwich Albion, the Premier League club announced on Friday. The 29-year-old shot stopper, who has made three appearances for England, joins the Eagles on a four-year contract.

18.12 BST: The New England Revolution are set to sign Albania striker Giacomo Vrioni from Juventus for $3.8m plus bonuses, reports Fabrizio Romano. After spending last season on loan with Austrian side WSG Tirol, the 23-year-old will join the MLS club as a Designated Player to replace Adam Buksa, who left for Lens earlier this summer.

17.45 BST: Lyon have confirmed the return of Corentin Tolisso, with the 27-year-old midfielder signing a contract that will keep him with the Ligue 1 outfit until 2027. Having come through Lyon's academy, Tolisso joined Bayern Munich in 2017 and went on to make 117 appearances for the Bavarian club, scoring 21 goals and assisting 15.

17.18 BST: With Kalvin Phillips set to join Manchester City, Leeds United are on the lookout for a holding midfielder, and according to the Athletic, they hold an interest in United States international Tyler Adams of RB Leipzig. The Red Bull-backed club are said to be open to allowing the 23-year-old leave on loan, and Leeds manager Jesse Marsch has a history with the versatile No. 6, having coached him at Leipzig last season and with the New York Red Bulls between 2016 and 2018.

16.51 BST: The Telegraph reported on Thursday night that Chelsea 's negotiations with Juventus over a transfer for centre-back Matthijs de Ligt are progressing, and that as a means of lowering the necessary transfer fee - the Netherlands international has a release clause reportedly in the realm of €120m - the Blues are willing to send Christian Pulisic or Timo Werner to Italy as part of the deal. Both could be surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge, where the Blues board are working on deals for attackers Raheem Sterling of Manchester City and Leeds United standout Raphinha and are also monitoring the situation of free agent Ousmane Dembele.

16.24 BST: Manchester United remain confident of signing Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord despite a hold up caused by an issue surrounding the defender's representation, sources have told ESPN.

United have agreed a £13m fee to sign the 22-year-old left-back, matching a bid which had been made by Lyon. The deal hit complications after Malacia's decision to switch agents, but sources have told ESPN the problem has now been resolved and the transfer should be completed in the coming days.

Manager Erik ten Hag is hopeful of having the Netherlands international in his squad in time for the start of the preseason tour of Thailand and Australia on July 8.

Sources have told ESPN that United have also held positive talks with Ajax over a deal for Lisandro Martinez. The Argentina international, who can play in midfield or defence and is also wanted by Arsenal, is valued at around £43m, but Ajax have signalled they may be willing to compromise over the fee.

16.05 BST: Mohamed Salah has signed a new long-term deal to extend his stay at Liverpool, the club announced on Friday.

Salah's contract was due to expire next summer and before the Champions League final, the forward announced that he would remain at Anfield next season.

The Egypt international has now ended speculation surrounding his future by extending his time at the Premier League club.

"I feel great and [I am] excited to win trophies with the club. It's a happy day for everyone," he told the club's official website. "It takes a little bit of time, I think, to renew, but now everything is done so we just need to focus on what's next.

"I think you can see in the last five or six years the team was always going [upwards]. Last season we were close to winning four, but unfortunately in the last week of the season we lost two trophies. I think we are in a good position to fight for everything. We have new signings as well. We just need to keep working hard, have a good vision, be positive and go for everything again."

16.01 BST: Awards are dumb, but they are important. How else can we tell that the Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo era is over?

But every month, the members of European Sports Media (ESM) vote on a best XI across the continent, and after each season, they add up the number of appearances in Team of the Month to determine the Team of the Year.

Ryan O'Hanlon explains what it can tell us.

15.50 BST: Elvis did not even make it into the building at Barcelona. The club pulled out of appointing Elvis Coca as a scout this week after old tweets surfaced praising Real Madrid and criticising the Catalan side.

Coca, working in a similar role at second division side CD Mirandes, had already reached an agreement with Barca when the social media posts surfaced. In the tweets, which have since been deleted, Coca celebrated Real Madrid wins and complained about Barca receiving help from referees.

"I've missed the opportunity of a lifetime," Coca lamented on Spanish radio after Barca informed him that their offer had been taken off the table.

15.42 BST: Tottenham want to sign some more new players, but are over the limit of non-homegrown players for their return to the Champions League.

The Daily Telegraph says that former Man United forward Jesse Lingard is under consideration, given he counts as homegrown, but he has also been linked with West Ham.

The England international left United on a free transfer this summer and is looking for a new club.

15.15 BST: Inter Milan have signed Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana on a free transfer.

15.14 BST: Marseille have completed the permanent signing of Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi for a reported €10m.

15.10 BST: Tottenham are in talks to add set-piece specialist Gianni Vio to their backroom staff, sources told ESPN.

Spurs are making strides in the transfer window with Richarlison and Clement Lenglet set to join Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Yves Bissouma as new arrivals in north London, but head coach Antonio Conte is also hoping to make an important addition to his backroom staff.

14.42 BST: Xavi Hernandez is disappointed with the lack of progress made by Barcelona in the transfer market so far this summer, sources told ESPN.

Barca's preseason gets underway officially on July 4, but Xavi was at the training ground this week for a series of meetings with sporting director Mateu Alemany and sporting advisor Jordi Cruyff. He was brought up to date with the latest on incomings and outgoings but has been left frustrated with the lack of concrete activity since the season ended in May.

Before heading off on holiday, the Barca coach communicated to several players they were no longer part of his plans. However, only B team forward Ferran Jutgla has left the club so far, with sources admitting to ESPN there is concern about the lack of movement out of Camp Nou.

14.30 BST: Where could Neymar end up if he leaves PSG this summer?

13.28 BST: Adama Traore is back training with Wolverhampton Wanderers after his Barcelona loan came to an end -- despite president Joan Laporta promising to trigger the clause to make the deal permanent.

Traore, 26, re-joined Barca, the club where he developed, on a six-month loan in January with an option to return on a full-time basis this summer for €30m.

"Our plan is to trigger that clause," Laporta said at Traore's presentation. However, following 17 appearances for the first team at Camp Nou, Traore has now returned to his parent club Wolves ahead of the new Premier League season.

Another player departing Barca at the end of their loan is Dutch forward Luuk de Jong, who returns to Sevilla where he has one year to run on his contract.

"Culers, what a special time it was..." he tweeted to Barca fans on Thursday. "I wish you all the best in the future!"

De Jong's signing was derided by supporters at the end of the season but he leaves a cult hero after winning fans around with hard work and a series of important games. After the final game of the season, he was the last player to leave the pitch and was serenaded with chants of 'Luuuuk' in recognition of his contribution while on loan.

13.08 BST: Marco Asensio must decide his own future, with his options being sealing a move away from Real Madrid this summer or seeing out the final year of his contract, Marca reports.

A third option -- agreeing a new deal -- is no longer on the table, the newspaper claims, after the club decided not to offer a renewal.

According to Marca, Madrid met with Asensio's new agent Jorge Mendes last week. The club will respect his decision whether he wants to stay or go but would expect to receive a €30m transfer fee, with AC Milan reportedly the club to express the most interest so far.

12.53 BST: There's a "traffic jam" holding up transfer business at Atletico Madrid, Diario AS reports, with the club needing to move on up to 10 players this summer, but having received no offers yet to help raise the €40m they need to bring in before they can register any new signings.

According to the newspaper, Atletico expected interest in the likes of Yannick Carrasco, Thomas Lemar, Mario Hermoso, Renan Lodi and Angel Correa this summer, but only Carrasco has been the subject of enquiries from Premier League sides so far.

12.22 BST: Barcelona have persuaded Raphinha to delay making any decision on his future while they try and raise the money to meet Leeds United's valuation, according to Marca.

ESPN reported on Tuesday that Chelsea have agreed a fee in excess of £60m with Leeds for Raphinha, which has sparked Barca into life.

The player's agent, Deco, was at Barca's offices on Wednesday and Thursday for talks with the Catalan club's sporting director Mateu Alemany.

Barca have a long-standing interest in Raphinha and have already agreed personal terms but their financial problems limit what they can do in the market.

They sold 10% of their LaLiga television rights on Thursday for over €200m, but sources have told ESPN that money is designated towards covering losses during the 2021-22 season, not signing players. Therefore, further commercial deals and player departures are needed before they can get anywhere close to the fee agreed between Leeds and Chelsea.

Ousmane Dembele's future could also impact how much they are prepared to pay to sign Raphinha. Dembele's contract at Camp Nou expired on Thursday but a new deal has still not been ruled out.

11.44 BST: Carlo Ancelotti is planning a "new role" for Eden Hazard at Real Madrid this season according to Diario AS, with the Belgium international set to feature as a false No. 9 when the manager wants to rest Karim Benzema.

Hazard, 31, is going into his fourth season in Spain -- where his impact has been severely limited by a series of ankle injuries, as well as losing the left-wing spot to last year's breakout star Vinicius Junior -- determined to finally make an impact.

An operation in March to remove a metal plate in his right ankle was reportedly a success, with Hazard now playing without any discomfort, and AS reports that Ancelotti believes the player's characteristics would make him an effective alternative when he needs to give Benzema a break in a season that will require frequent rotation of the team.

11.30 BST: Is Richarlison the signing that Tottenham need?

10.50 BST: Portuguese side Benfica are pushing for the signing of Barcelona midfielder Riqui Puig this summer, according to Jijantes.

Benfica coach Roger Schmidt previously tried to sign Puig on loan when he was in charge of PSV Eindhoven and is now looking to take the Spain U21 international to the Estadio da Luz.

Puig, 22, has been told he is not in Xavi Hernandez's plans at Barca and Mundo Deportivo reported this week he has been given an additional week off -- with the Blaugrana due to start preseason on Monday -- to find a new club.

Lazio and Valencia have also been linked with Puig, who finally appears ready to leave Camp Nou in search of first-team football. He opted to stay in each of the last two summers, despite advice from previous coach Ronald Koeman he would be better served going out on loan.

10.34 BST: Chelsea's willingness to take a significant financial hit on Romelu Lukaku was partly born out of a fear of history repeating itself, sources told ESPN.

When the idea of a loan move back to Inter Milan was first considered, the Blues made it clear they were seeking a fee of at least €20m -- a high figure but one designed to offset the 12-month depreciation of a player the club paid €115m for only last summer.

However, sources told ESPN there were fears internally that Lukaku could become a problematic figure at Chelsea with the players due to depart on their preseason tour to the United States at the end of next week.

Manchester United had problems with Lukaku's behaviour in 2019 prior to him moving to Inter, fining him two weeks wages as he trained away from the first-team squad without permission as he agitated for a transfer.

Lukaku's relationship with Thomas Tuchel was strained ever since the striker gave an unsanctioned interview in December citing his frustrations at Stamford Bridge and desire to return to Inter.

10.10 BST: Torino have confirmed the departure of striker Andrea Belotti on a free transfer.

Belotti, 28, was once linked with a €100m move but the Italy international can now sign for another club for nothing.

10.00 BST: Manchester City have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Stefan Ortega.

Ortega, 29, has agreed a three-year deal at the Etihad Stadium following the expiry of his contract at Arminia Bielefeld.

Sources have told ESPN that the German's arrival is likely to mean United States goalkeeper Zack Steffen is allowed to join Championship side Middlesbrough on loan although the deal is not yet complete.

Ortega, who made 220 appearances during two spells at Arminia Bielefeld, is set to join Pep Guardiola's squad for the preseason tour of the United States.

09.55 BST: Jota has signed for Celtic on a permanent deal from Benfica for around €8m.

Jota, 23, spent last season on loan at Celtic from Benfica and scored 13 goals in 40 appearances to help the Hoops win the Scottish Premiership title and the League Cup. The Portuguese has signed a five-year contract.

"It was a great experience last season," Jota said. "I already knew, more or less, how big Celtic was but I think people only realise once you are inside the club and inside the structure. With the season that we had with all the winning and all the trophies, I think it was very good for everyone, and I just got to know the club in another perspective, and I just fell in love. So, I think it's a good time to be here and I just want to develop."

09.34 BST: Erik ten Hag has made building a dressing room spirit at Manchester United one of his key goals this summer after being briefed about a series of leaks from within the squad last season, sources told ESPN.

Ten Hag, who took charge of his first day of training at Carrington on Monday, has been informed a number of stories of unrest among players circulated during a disastrous campaign that saw United finish sixth in the Premier League.

Sources told ESPN the players will be encouraged to be more open in interviews next season but have been told that disagreements between individuals should be handled in-house and not publicised. Players have also been told to pass on the message to family members and agents. Ten Hag's assistant, Steve McClaren, will be asked to act as a bridge between the players and management in an effort to solve any issues that arise.

09.01 BST: Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Richarlison from Everton, it was announced on Friday.

Sources told ESPN on Thursday that Spurs were closing in on signing the Brazilian striker for a club-record fee in the region of £60m. ESPN also reported that Spurs are likely to pay an initial £50m with as much as £10m in add-ons.

Richarlison, 25, scored 10 goals and assisted five times in 30 Premier League games for Everton last season, as the club narrowly avoided relegation with a 16th-placed finish. He scored 53 times in 152 appearances for the Merseyside club since joining in 2018 from Watford -- who are due to receive 10% of any fee over £40m for the striker.

Richarlison joins Spurs as their fourth summer signing, alongside Fraser Forster, Ivan Perisic and Yves Bissouma.

09.00 BST: Neymar is considering leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer, sources told ESPN, after finding out the club are happy for him to depart.

Contact has been made with Chelsea, one of the few clubs capable of recruiting Neymar, due to new owner Todd Boehly wanting to make a big statement in the transfer market this summer.

Meanwhile, Brazil teammate and close friend Thiago Silva has spoken in favour of Neymar joining him at Stamford Bridge. However, it remains to be seen if Chelsea and Thomas Tuchel are keen to recruit the 30-year-old.

Neymar's agent, Pini Zahavi, is working to identify other potential suitors but he is aware only two or three teams would be able to come close to the money that Neymar earns at PSG.

08.39 BST: Barcelona have made a third bid worth more than €40m for striker Robert Lewandowski but have received no response from Bayern Munich, sources have told ESPN's Sam Marsden and Moises Llorens.

Lewandowski, 33, said in May that his "story at Bayern is over" and wishes to leave the club he enters the final year of his contract, which expires in 2023.

Barca have made the Poland striker their top target this summer, with coach Xavi Hernandez confirming in May that he was hopeful of completing a deal. However, the Catalan club have so far failed to get Bayern to engage in negotiations over a potential transfer.

Sources told ESPN last week that Barca's opening bid did not reach €40m, but their latest offer is worth over that amount, including the fixed fee and add-ons.

Bayern chief executive Oliver Kahn has publicly insisted that they plan to keep Lewandowski and that he is expected back in for preseason training on July 12.

Lewandowski, who has scored 344 goals in 375 games with Bayern, remains on holiday in Spain with his family. On Wednesday, photographs revealed both he and Barca coach Xavi were at Lio, an exclusive port-side club on the island of Ibiza.

08.00 BST: Paris Saint-Germain have signed the highly-rated Portugal midfielder Vitor "Vitinha" Ferreira from Porto, the French champions announced on Thursday.

PSG triggered the player's €40m release clause to see off competition from Premier League clubs and land the 22-year-old.

Vitinha, 22, has put pen to paper on a five-year deal. The Portugal international had a starring role at Porto, starting in 27 league games to help the Dragoes win the league title last season.

PAPER GOSSIP (by Adam Brown)

- Sergio Romero is keen on a return to Old Trafford, reports Manchester Evening News. Despite leaving Manchester United last year, it is understood that the 35-year-old Venezia goalkeeper is interested in returning to the club as a back-up to David de Gea. New coach Erik ten Hag is currently looking for an alternative option with Dean Henderson moving closer to a loan switch to Nottingham Forest.

- AC Milan are interested in landing Neymar, according to UOL Esporte. Amid reports that PSG would be prepared to allow the Brazil international to leave on loan if they cannot reach an agreement over a permanent move, the Rossoneri are hopeful that the Parc des Princes hierarchy would be willing to offer them a "goodwill" deal to make the move possible. The 30-year-old forward contributed to 19 goals in 22 Ligue 1 games last season.

- Nice are on the lookout for a goalkeeper this summer, and they are looking to see whether they can secure a move for Borussia Monchengladbach star Yann Sommer, reveals Gianluca Di Marzio. - Arturo Vidal has received a formal contract offer from Boca Juniors, according to TYC Sports. The Argentina-based outlet reports that he has been offered a three-year deal that starts with an initial 18 months before an option clause provides the possibility of extending it to three years. The 35-year-old midfielder became a free agent after his contract expired with Inter on Thursday.
