LIVE Transfer Talk: Robert Lewandowski won't renew at Bayern Munich amid Barcelona links

The summer transfer window is approaching, and there's plenty of gossip swirling about who's moving where. Transfer Talk brings you all the latest buzz on rumours, comings and goings and, of course, done deals!

TOP STORY: Lewandowski won't renew at Bayern

Robert Lewandowski has personally told Bayern Munich that he will not be extending his contract, which is due to end in the summer of 2023, according Sky Sports Deutschland.

Lewandowski, 33, wants a new challenge, with financial incentives playing little role in his decision making. He has already won 19 trophies with Bayern, as well as the Best FIFA Men's Player, while he has scored 49 goals and assisted seven more in 45 matches across all competitions this season.

Despite Bayern wanting to keep the Poland international, his current stance may see them let him depart in the summer for around €40 million to avoid losing him as a free agent next year.

Barcelona are doing all they can to sign the striker and he wants the move to Camp Nou, hoping to make it in the summer rather than having to wait.

It could be difficult for Barcelona to complete the deal due to their financial situation, but Lewandowski hopes that Bayern will take into account what he has done for the club to help fulfil his wishes.

Bayern face VfL Wolfsburg in their final game of the Bundesliga season on Saturday, and if Lewandowski gets his way it could be his final game for the Bavarians.

22.15 BST: Barcelona are awaiting a call from Ousmane Dembele's agent, Moussa Sissoko, as they look for clarity regarding the Frenchman's future, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The winger's current contract comes to its culmination at the end of June, but after eight months of negotiations there has still not been an agreement. The Blaugrana have now offered various contract combinations and want to know where they stand -- whether that means finalising Dembele's deal or making plans for how they will move forward without him.

21.30 BST: Juventus are considering moves for Roma's Nicolo Zaniolo and Sassuolo's Giacomo Raspadori, but could be priced out of a transfer for the former, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Juve have also been in contract talks with Federico Bernadeschi, whose current deal comes to its culmination at the end of June, but the Italy international doesn't want his wage to go below €3m-per-season, which Juventus are unwilling to offer him. It now seems likely he could leave Serie A entirely.

20.39 BST: With Newcastle United set to sign Burnley centre-back James Tarkowski in the summer, West Ham United are beginning to look at other options, according to The Mirror.

Both clubs had been very keen to bring in the 29-year-old, but it seems as though the Magpies are set to win the race, offering a large upgrade on his current £50,000-per-week wages.

20.15 BST: 39-year-old goalkeeper Alfredo Talavera will no longer be with Pumas after rejecting a contract extension with the Liga MX club. The announcement was made on Friday by Mexico City side, who stated that they offered a two-year renewal and an increase in salary to the Mexico international. The news follows reports from ESPN Mexico earlier this week that Talavera is close to a deal with FC Juarez.

ESPN Mexico also reported that Pumas right-back Alan Mozo is a target for Chivas. Although there have been meetings with Chivas and representatives of the 25-year-old, an agreement has yet to be reached.

20.00 BST: Wolverhampton Wanderers see Sporting CP midfielder Joao Palhinha as a replacement for Ruben Neves, according to Ekrem Konur, with an offer of £25m being planned.

Neves has been linked with various clubs, including Manchester United, Barcelona and Arsenal, having impressed in the Wolves midfield.

19.24 BST: Eighteen-year-old England midfielder Jude Bellingham insists that he will still be at Borussia Dortmund next season despite being linked with some of world football's biggest clubs and seeing Erling Haaland complete a move to Manchester City.

"The only future I think about is the next game for Dortmund," he's quoted as saying in Ruhr Nachrichten. "I'm really looking forward to next season. I can't wait for it to finally start. But yes, I will be here next season and I will be ready."

18.37 BST: Lazio are moving to sign goalkeeper Sergio Rico, who has spent the season on loan at Mallorca from Paris Saint-Germain, as a replacement for Thomas Strakosha, reports Gazzetta dello Sport. However, the Albania No. 1's contract ends in the summer, and he has been aiming for a move to the Premier League and is close to an agreement with newly promoted Fulham, where he played in 2018-19.

17.50 BST: After a disappointing season in which Simone Zaza played 205 minutes across all competitions for Torino and didn't contribute to any goals, the former Italy international is set to leave for Spain a year before his contract ends, reports Tuttosport. Real Betis, Rayo Vallecano, Mallorca and Cadiz are all said to be interested in the 30-year-old, although the latter two clubs are still fighting for their place in LaLiga.

17.00 BST: AC Milan, Marseille and Atletico Madrid are all interested in signing Arsenal centre-back William Saliba, who spent the season on loan with Marseille, reports Ekrem Konur. He adds that the Gunners want a transfer fee in the region of €30m for the Frenchman, who has never played a competitive first-team minute for the north London club.

16.07 BST: The signing of Luis Diaz worked out well for Liverpool it seems, so now Arsenal are interested in signing a man who has been compared to the Colombia winger.

The Gunners have been burned by signing €80m flop Nicholas Pepe from Lille a few years ago, but they could replace him with Porto winger Pepe, according to Correio da Manha.

Pepe, 25, has six goals and five assists in 40 appearances so far this season and has done well to help Porto forget Diaz after he moved to Anfield for €45m in January.

The Brazil forward is available for around €50m despite the presence of a €70m release clause.

15.27 BST: A host of clubs are keen to sign Juventus forward Paulo Dybala on a free transfer this summer, but could he be headed to England?

Dybala, 28, has 15 goals in 37 games this season but has struggled with injury and has decided to move on for a new challenge after failing to agree terms on a new deal.

The Argentina international's agent is in London, according to Calciomercato, which suggests that Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham are of the sides who may be interested in a transfer.

14.39 BST: Newcastle are looking for a new goalkeeper and have money to spend in the summer.

TalkSPORT claims that Leicester star Kasper Schmeichel is one of the options being considered to become their new No. 1, even though the 35-year-old is nearing the end of his career.

The Denmark international is a proven performer in the Premier League but, if he does leave the club, he's reportedly open to a move abroad as well.

14.03 BST: Erling Haaland chose Manchester City for a reason.

13.36 BST: Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has admitted Romelu Lukaku's agent publicly discussing the striker's future is "not the situation you want" on the eve of an FA Cup final.

Lukaku has endued a disappointing second spell at Stamford Bridge having rejoined the Blues from Inter Milan for a club record €115m last summer, scoring 15 goals in 42 appearances.

The 28-year-old has previously suggested he would be open to a return to Italy his agent Federico Pastorello fuelled further speculation on Friday in an interview with La Repubblica in which he confirmed plans to hold talks with the club's prospective new owners -- a consortium led by Los Angeles Dodgers part-owner Todd Boehly -- at the end of the season.

"We cannot think about negotiations," he said. "Chelsea are in takeover discussions, we do not know the new owners, let alone if we can open talks with Inter or AC Milan. We have to wait."

When those comments were put to Tuchel on Friday, he replied: "I just was aware about it five or ten minutes ago actually.

"That's what it is sometimes in football. The tension is so high that sometimes it attracts situations that you don't want to have before big matches but that's the way it is. For me it is not a distraction and hopefully for everybody who works with the team and the team itself also.

"If he plans to talk the owner, maybe it is his plan not to talk with me. Fair enough, let's see if he gets a meeting and can get to talk. It is his right. We will talk to anybody and evaluate any situation of any player including Romelu's and then we will see what's going to happen and what the plans are."

13.01 BST: PSG striker Kylian Mbappe still hasn't made up his mind over his future.

Fabrizio Romano says that Real Madrid are "more optimistic and confident than ever" about signing the 23-year-old on a free transfer when his contract expires this summer.

PSG have offered him a new contract, which is on the table, but Mbappe is waiting until the end of the season to decide.

12.26 BST: Nice forward Amine Gouiri  is being linked with Real Madrid by Defensa Central.

Gouiri, 22, has 12 goals in 41 games this season and has been likened in style to Karim Benzema, who Madrid will be looking to replace in the coming years.

The France U21 forward moved to Nice on a four-year contract from Lyon for a fee of around €7m in 2020.

11.38 BST: Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is of interest to Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester United and Newcastle United, says Sportmediaset.

Osimhen, 23, could move on from Italy this summer but Napoli will be looking for a transfer fee of at least €100m.

The Nigeria international asked to be excused from his country's squad for their upcoming U.S. tour, as they try to put the heartbreak of their failure to qualify for the 2022 World Cup behind them.

11.02 BST: Manchester United are close to adding Steve McClaren to Erik ten Hag's new-look coaching staff, sources have told ESPN.

United have already agreed a deal for Ajax assistant Mitchell van der Gaag to follow Ten Hag to Old Trafford and sources have told ESPN that McClaren will also be joining the Dutchman's backroom staff. The pair worked together when McClaren was in charge of FC Twente and Ten Hag is keen for someone with links to United to join him at the club when he takes the reins this summer.

Robin van Persie, Rene Muelensteen and Michael Appleton are among the other names who have also been considered. McClaren worked as assistant to Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford between 1999 and 2001 before taking the manager's job at Middlesbrough. He also managed England between 20006 and 2007.

Sources have told ESPN that McClaren was present at a meeting between Ten Hag and United officials in Amsterdam on Thursday.

10.31 BST: Inter Milan could land Juventus forward Paulo Dybala on a free transfer this summer.

09.44 BST: The Daily Mirror says that PSV midfielder Ibrahim Sangare is on the radar of Chelsea.

Sangare, 24, has impressed in the Eredivisie and is considered a cheaper option that the £100m-rated Declan Rice.

The Ivory Coast international is reportedly available for around €30m.

09.20 BST: Declan Rice is expected to reject West Ham's latest contract offer but the club continue to insist he is not leaving in the summer transfer window, sources told ESPN.

The 23-year-old has turned down multiple extensions which would make him the highest paid player in West Ham's history on £200,000-a-week.

Sources told ESPN that West Ham's latest attempt involves a contract which could run for up to eight years, potentially tying him to the east London side until 2030.

Although he could receive a considerable wage increase, Rice is thought to have shown little interest in signing fresh terms given his existing agreement runs until 2024.

08.55 BST: Real Madrid are readying an improved contract offer to Vinicius Junior, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Vinicius Jr, 21, has 21 goals and 20 assists in 50 games this season and is one of the top young players in Europe.

The Brazilian forward is still on the same wages as when he moved to Spain for €45m from Flamengo in 2018 but his new status as a first-team regular means he is in line for a pay rise.

08.18 BST: Aston Villa have completed the permanent signing of Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona, the two clubs announced Thursday.

Barcelona said they had accepted a €20m transfer fee with Barca also inserting a sell-on clause of 50% for any future transfer. Coutinho, who joined Villa on loan in January, became Barcelona's record signing when he joined from Liverpool for €160m in January 2018.

In a statement, Barcelona said they "would like to publicly state their thanks to Philippe Coutinho for his commitment and dedication, and wish him success and all the best for the future."

Sources told ESPN earlier this week that Villa had an option to sign Coutinho for €40m at the end of the season but were not willing to invest so much money.

08.00 BST: Manchester United are monitoring midfielder Frenkie de Jong's situation at Barcelona as they look to bolster their midfield this summer, sources have told ESPN.

Erik ten Hag knows the 25-year-old from their time together at Ajax. However, sources have told ESPN that Ten Hag is not a particular pull for De Jong, and there is an acceptance at Old Trafford that it would be a difficult deal to get over the line.

United are in the market for a central midfielder and have been alerted to the possibility Barcelona may need to offload De Jong to fund other summer business.

Sources have told ESPN that De Jong's preference is to stay at Barcelona, but if he was told he was surplus to requirements at Camp Nou he would prefer to join a club where he would play Champions League football.

United already know they will not qualify for next season's competition after a disappointing campaign in the Premier League.

PAPER GOSSIP (by Danny Lewis)

- Manchester City's Raheem Sterling will wait until after the UEFA Nations League fixtures in June before discussing an extension of his contract or making a decision on his future at club level, according to The Athletic. Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked, but the England international -- whose contract ends in 2023 -- could look to move on this summer as he seeks a more regular spot in the first team. For now, though, he isn't entertaining talk about his future.

- Gabriel Jesus' agent has told The Sun that the Brazil international wants to remain in the Premier League past the summer. There has been interest from clubs in Spain, Germany and Italy, but he is said to see England's top tier as the "NBA of football." The agent confirmed Arsenal's interest in Jesus earlier this week, with City looking for between £40m-£50m for his transfer.

- Barcelona and Arsenal are both looking to sign Alvaro Morata in the summer, as reported by AS. The striker's future is currently uncertain, with his loan spell from Atletico Madrid to Juventus ending in the summer and the latter unwilling to pay his €35m release clause. Morata's current priority is ensuring he's in the best possible position to represent Spain at the 2022 World Cup.

- After missing out on Manchester City-bound Erling Haaland, Real Madrid are looking to sign the next big attacking talent, with Marca offering a list of the players they are considering. Palmeiras' Endrick, Borussia Dortmund's Youssoufa Moukoko, Benfica's Henrique Araujo, FC Salzburg's Roko Simic and Real Sociedad's Alexander Isak are all mentioned.

- Internazionale are looking to sign a midfielder in the summer transfer window and Calciomercato have offered a list of the names they are considering. As well as a possible return for Lucien Agoume, who is on loan at Brest, they are aiming to bring in Nice's Kephren Thuram, Sassuolo's Davide Frattesi, Lecce's Morten Hjulmand or TSG Hoffenheim's Florian Grillitsch.
