Euro 2020 and the Copa America are over and the summer transfer window is open, leaving Europe's biggest clubs clear to make a splash in the market. Check out the latest gossip below, and see all official deals here.

TOP STORY: Man City, Villa £25m apart over Grealish move

Manchester City are set to make a £75 million move to sign Aston Villa talisman Jack Grealish, but his club are holding out for £100m, according to The Daily Mail.

City's offer will include add-ons, but Villa want their star man to stay and it is suggested that City will need to increase their bid by £25m for the Premier League side to even consider it.

Villa will also offer the midfielder a new contract worth £150,000-a-week in an attempt to convince him to stay, despite only seeing him pen a five-year deal in September.

Villa's reservations have not put City off at all, though, as City manager Pep Guardiola is hoping that a deal for the 25-year-old will be completed quickly.

It is also suggested within the report that the reigning Premier League champions are still looking at signing Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, who could cost as much as £150m.

City have already made over £30m from offloading fringe players like Angelino, Jack Harrison and Lukas Nmecha, with the salaries of Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia also off the books after they left for Barcelona on free transfers. Midfielder Bernardo Silva could also depart to help make the funds available.

22.18 BST: One more from MLS... as Fabrizio Romano reports that the LA Galaxy are close to signing Serbian international striker Dejan Joveljic from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Already capped twice for Serbia's senior team, the 21-year-old will sign on a four-and-a-half-year contract. The forward scored 17 goals in 31 Austrian Bundesliga games last season while on loan for Wolfsberger, good enough for the best mark in the league.

21.31 BST: League one side Wycombe have signed former Premier League striker Sam Vokes.

The 31-year-old, who spent the last three seasons at Stoke previously played in the top flight with Wolves and Burnley, notably hitting double digits for the Clarets in 2017. Known for his prowess in the air, the Wales international joins the recently relegated Chairboys on an initial one-year deal -- with an option for a second.

20.43 BST: Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool are considering a cut-price deal for Wolves winger Adama Traore, the Daily Star claims.

The 25-year-old, who Jurgen Klopp once labeled "unplayable" is reportedly available for as little as £30 million this summer. Liverpool failed 18 months ago in their pursuit of Traore with Wolves then unwilling to listen to any bid under £60 million. Wolves are keen to hold on to Traore, but after a down season may be forced to sell the Spain international for the right price.

19.59 BST: Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Lyon and Denmark centre-back Joachim Andersen.

The 25-year-old, who impressed with Fulham while on loan last season, has joined the Eagles for an undisclosed fee thought to be in the neighborhood of £20 million. Andersen was part of the Denmark squad that reached the semi-finals of Euro 2020 and becomes Patrick Vieira's fourth signing of the summer after Michael Olise, Remi Matthews and Marc Guehi.

"I'm extremely proud to be joining Crystal Palace," centre-back Andersen said.

"And to be playing in the world's best football league.

"The management of the club and Patrick Vieira have given me very strong assurance that they know my qualities, they believe in me and want me to play an important role in the team."

19.10 BST: MLS side Atlanta United are closing in on highly-rated Argentine youngster Thiago Almada, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

Atlanta are reportedly set to pay Velez Sarsfield close to $15 million for the attacking midfielder, who was previously linked with Manchester United and Marseille. The 20-year-old, who is currently competing at the Olympics with Argentine, would become of the league's record signings.

Almada has scored 20 goals and contributed seven assists in 80 first-team games for Velez.

18.33 BST: Aston Villa are now runaway favourites to sign Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey, according to SkyBet.

The bookmaker lists Villa as 1/2 chalk to sign the Jamaica winger, who has also been linked with Everton and Tottenham. The 23-year-old, who is valued at £26 million, would be the latest example of Villa's ambition, the club having already signed Norwich's Emi Buendia for £35 million.

The tricky Bailey has tallied 39 goals and 25 assists in 156 career games with Leverkusen, including 15 goals and 11 assists over all competitions last campaign.

17.49 BST: Chelsea have a new backup goalkeeper, the club announcing they have signed ex-Fulham shot-stopper Marcus Bettinelli.

The 29-year-old will sign a two-year contract and replace veteran Willy Caballero who recently departed the club. Bettinelli made 120 first-team appearances for the Whites in all, but spent last season on in the Championship with Middlesbrough.

"It's always been a special club. I know the area very well so it's been a dream of mine to come over to this side and it's finally happened," said the goalkeeper.

"There were some talks a few years ago when I was a bit younger and for whatever reason that didn't come about but I'm here now.

"I'm really excited to be involved and looking forward to trying to impress and help the team as much as I can."

17.00 BST: Arsenal have been linked with a move for United States international Sergino Dest, but the right-back doesn't want to leave Barcelona, according to Sport.

Dest, 20, made 41 appearances across all competitions after signing from Ajax for €21m last summer. But the club's financial woes mean every player could leave and Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and Monaco have all been following him.

The Gunners want a replacement for Hector Bellerin, who is set to leave the club, but neither Barcelona nor Dest are interested in talking about a move.

16.06 BST: The Daily Telegraph reports that Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic is a priority target for Tottenham

Vlahovic, 21, scored 21 goals in 40 games last season and has been linked with Juventus and Milan. The Serbia international's contract expires in 2023 and Tottenham are hoping to take advantage, as they seek for a long-term replacement for Harry Kane.

However, Fiorentina reportedly want the striker to sign new terms with a €65m release clause.

15.31 BST: Giovanni Reyna has taken Borussia Dortmund's No. 7 shirt following the departure of Jadon Sancho to Manchester United.

Sancho left Dortmund for the Premier League in a €85m move on a five-year contract. That means United States international Reyna now has the opportunity for more playing time at Dortmund as they look to end Bayern Munich's stranglehold on the Bundesliga title

Last season the 18-year-old became an important player for Dortmund alongside Erling Haaland as the club qualified for the Champions League and won the German Cup.

14.55 BST: England defender Ben White has been at Arsenal's training ground today, finalising his £50m move from Brighton.

14.22 BST: Tottenham are making a move to try and sign Atalanta defender Cristian Romero, says Calciomercato.

Romero, 23, will move to Atalanta from Juventus this summer for around €17m as his loan contained an option to make the deal permanent for that amount.

However, Atalanta could let him go immediately for a bigger fee and Tottenham have offered a reported €55m to get ahead of the competition. Barcelona have also been watching the Argentina international, though their financial situation means they'd have to raise funds by letting some of their own players depart first.

13.47 BST: Bayern president Herbert Hainer has told Spox that Robert Lewandowski is going nowhere.

"In my opinion Lewandowski is the best striker in the world," Hainer said. "We are very happy to have him on our team. His contract runs for another two years, during which time he will definitely play for FC Bayern. I said it some time ago that I can very well imagine having him in the squad as well. He will definitely stay with us for the next two seasons."

Asked about the chance of signing Dortmund's Erling Haaland as possible successor for Lewandowski, he replied: "At the moment we're not looking for a successor, as Robert will definitely play for us for another two years. Then we can deal with a successor."

13.30 BST: Real Madrid's summer has been unusually low key, which is just how new manager Carlo Ancelotti likes it, writes Sid Lowe.

While it's all happening at Barcelona -- or not happening, if we're talking about Lionel Messi officially staying -- not very much is happening at Madrid. There isn't even much more build-up: they have played Rayo Vallecano and Fuenlabrada behind closed doors, Rangers at Ibrox, and now Madrid have just one preseason game left, against AC Milan, although they are trying to arrange another one. And although he had seen enough in Scotland, Ancelotti doesn't mind all that.

Just as importantly, he knew it would be like that; it is part of the reason why he is here at all, even if a chance conversation brought him back, his return unplanned by any of them. And in part it's also precisely because he is the man who is here that things seem to calm, his character contributing to that.

Revisit his presentation news conference and if there is one recurring theme it is this: I'll get what I'm given. No demands, no public pursuits of players, no pressure. No complaints. No: is this what I have to work with? No noise. Instead, there is a quiet ease. More even than before, the last time he was here.

Before he signed, Madrid outlined the situation to Ancelotti. While not as dramatic as what is happening 400 miles away at their rivals' place, the message was simple: things are not good. There isn't really any money, there won't be big signings. Unless, somehow, they can get the very biggest. In fact, sales are more likely: they are needed. There are too many players -- literally, more than can fit in a first division squad -- and certainly too many players who earn a lot and deliver very little. There are kids who need to be looked at, veterans who need to be recovered. That is your job.

12.44 BST: Chelsea are in talks with Sevilla over a deal that will take defender Jules Kounde to Stamford Bridge this summer, sources have told ESPN's Rodrigo Faez.

Marca reports that the France international has already agreed personal terms with the Premier League giants but the two clubs are working on a transfer fee agreement for the move to be completed.

Kounde, 22, has a contract with Sevilla until June 2024 and sources have told ESPN that the deal could be worth around €70m, which is €10m less than Kounde's release clause.

Chelsea are reportedly considering including defender Kurt Zouma in the deal to lower the fee, but have yet to decide how much they value him at.

12.01 BST: Man City goalkeeper Karen Bardsley has signed a one-year contract extension.

Bardsley, 36, has been at the club for seven years and has won three Women's FA Cups, one FAWSL title and three Continental Tyres Cups. She spent the second half of the 2020-21 season out on loan with OL Reign in the NWSL.

"It feels great to be back and to have signed a new deal. I really missed being here in Manchester -- although I had a great time on loan, there's no place like home," she said. "It's so special to have been a part of something that's grown so quickly and to have been here from the start -- to see what it's become here at City now, I feel very proud of that. The past seven years have flown by, and long may it continue. It's been more than I could have ever hoped for and I'm so excited for the season ahead."

12.00 BST: ICYMI - FC Dallas has signed emerging 18-year-old star forward Ricardo Pepi to a five-year contract extension, the team announced on Tuesday.

Pepi, who has been linked with a move to Serie A's Bologna, has eight goals in 14 appearances (nine starts) this season.

"I'm very happy to give my everything to FC Dallas," Pepi said in a statement. "I want to thank the club for having that trust in me. It's a big step in my career, personally and for my family."

11.02 BST: Eric Garcia says he is willing to sacrifice his holidays to join Barcelona to prepare for the start of La Liga.

Garcia, 26, signed a contract with Barca until June 2026 after joining as a free agent from Manchester City last month. The defender is one of six Spain players that played at Euro 2020 and are also competing with the Olympic squad.

"I am willing to join Barcelona straight after the games," Garcia said. "I am available for whatever the coach [Ronald Koeman] wants. I have no problem whatsoever to link up with Barcelona immediately."

10.39 BST: Barcelona new arrival Memphis Depay says that he is "compatible" with Sergio Aguero and Lionel Messi.

Barca bolstered their attack by signing Aguero and Depay as free agents earlier this summer. The Catalan club have reached a preliminary agreement to renew Messi's contract and also have Ansu Fati, Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele on their books.

Asked if he could form an attacking trio with Messi and Aguero, Depay said: "We are many strikers but I believe that we are all different. I have different abilities and strengths from Aguero, for example, or any other player. I think the three of us are compatible and different, but we are going to see how everything develops."

Netherlands international forward Depay also said he was looking forward to playing alongside Messi.

"It would be incredible to play with him," he said. "I hope it happens. He has certain qualities that the team needs and it's important to build everything around those. There is a lot of talent in this team. For me it would be fantastic to play alongside him and win titles. I came here to win titles. I always try to create a lot of danger, be direct and find the shortest route to score a goal. I like being creative and I love how Barca plays. I want to adapt as soon as possible."

Asked if Messi had contacted him since he has joined the club, Depay added: "No... But I think he must be enjoying the title [Copa America] he won with Argentina, which was so incredible for him."

10.22 BST: Fabrizio Romano reports that Tottenham goalkeeper Joe Hart could move to Celtic.

Hart, 34, will be third choice this season behind Hugo Lloris and new arrival Pierluigi Gollini, whom the club signed on loan from Atalanta with an option to make permanent for €15m next summer.

As a result, the former Man City goalkeeper could move on in search of more game time and new Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou is looking for an experienced No. 1.

10.10 BST: Juventus have a decision to make over Cristiano Ronaldo.

09.34 BST: Southampton have signed Chelsea centre-back Dynel Simeu on a three-year contract.

Simeu, 19, has been at Chelsea since the age of 13 and the England Under-19 international will move back to the city he grew up in to be a part of the Southampton B team at first.

"I feel glad, finally, that the move was made possible," he said. "I'm just excited to get started. It's nice to be back home, I've had a really friendly welcome. I feel comfortable that I'm home with my family, so I'm excited. I hope to hit the ground running, get fit and comfortable with the boys and then hopefully push towards the first-team."

09.31 BST: Tottenham Hotspur are keen to sign Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey, says Gazzetta dello Sport.

Ramsey, 30, started only 13 Serie A matches last campaign and earns around €300,000-a-week so Juventus are keen to move him on.

It's not known whether the former Arsenal star would consider a move to their rivals Tottenham, but Juve would reportedly accept offers of €10m.

08.55 BST: Fabrizio Romano reported yesterday that Chelsea are pushing to sign €80m-rated defender Jules Kounde from Sevilla.

However, the fee is high so now the Blues are looking to add Kurt Zouma to the deal.

Sevilla are looking for a replacement are keen on Schalke centre-back Ozan Kabak, says Bild.

Kabak, 20, spent last season on loan at Liverpool but didn't do enough to land a permanent deal. Leicester City and Crystal Palace are also interested but Sevilla are ready to offer €17m to land the Turkey international now.

08.34 BST: Eric Bailly will seek clarification over his future at Manchester United after they reached a deal with Real Madrid for Raphael Varane, sources have told ESPN.

With the addition of Varane, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have seven centre-backs in his senior squad and sources have told ESPN that Bailly, in particular, is concerned his first team opportunities will be severely limited.

Playing time formed a central part of negotiations with the club which eventually ended in the Ivory Coast international signing a new long-term contract in April. After agreeing fresh terms, Bailly is contracted to United until 2024 with the option of another year.

08.00 BST: Manchester United confirmed on Tuesday that they have agreed a deal with Real Madrid for Raphael Varane.

United are set to pay an initial €41m for the defender with another €8.2m in add-ons. Madrid have agreed to cover a solidarity payment due to Varane's previous club Lens.

The club said in a statement: "Manchester United is delighted to announce the club has reached agreement with Real Madrid for the transfer of French international defender and World Cup winner, Raphael Varane, subject to a medical and to player terms being finalised."

After undergoing his medical, the 28-year-old is expected to sign a four-year contract with the option of an additional year.

PAPER GOSSIP (by Danny Lewis)

- According to Eurosport, Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba could wait until 2022 to decide his future. The Frenchman's contract comes to an end at that time, and despite Paris Saint-Germain being ready to offer the Red Devils around £45m, Pogba wants to keep his options open for now. This is partly due to the 28-year-old's dream of playing for Real Madrid, as he knows committing to another club could dent his chances of ever joining Los Blancos.

- Internazionale are in talks with Cagliari regarding a loan move for Nahitan Nandez, reports Calciomercato. Cagliari want it to be a €5m loan, but Inter want to get the 24-year-old for free with a right to make the move permanent. Cagliari are asking for a lower fee to sign Martin Satriano if Nandez initially joins Inter for free, but they have so far responded by offering a large portion of the fee if Nandez joins them permanently and moves on again.

- Jose Mourinho has left the door open for Alessandro Florenzi to return to AS Roma, having spent last season on loan at Paris Saint-Germain, but the right-back wants to leave, reports Calciomercato. The report says Florenzi has grievances with the club that motivate his desire to leave, even with manager Paulo Fonseca having departed. Atalanta and Sevilla have both showing interest, but there is nobody coming forward to sign the 30-year-old at the moment.

- Fiorentina are on the lookout for a central midfielder, and Corriere dello Sport have listed the trio they have their eyes on, naming: Inter's Stefano Sensi, Arsenal's Lucas Torreira and Cologne's Ellyes Skhiri.

- Nemanja Radonjic wants to return to Hertha Berlin, as has been reported by Fabrizio Romano. The Marseille man spent last season on loan with the Bundesliga outfit, and talks are ongoing between the two clubs to reach an agreement.
