TOP STORY: Man United face battle with Napoli for Torres
Napoli could be set to battle Manchester United for the signing of Pau Torres from Villarreal, reports Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italian newspaper reports Napoli have been tracking the centre-back for some time and that he could be available for around €30 million.
The 24-year-old has been inspirational for Villarreal this season and has been an integral part of the club's run to the Europa League final, which takes place in Gdansk on May 26. Villarreal face Manchester United, who are also keen to land the defender. Though United's interest could hinge on whether they can tempt Raphael Varane to move to Manchester from Real Madrid.
Napoli are preparing for life after Kalidou Koulibaly, who is widely expected to leave the club this summer, and Torres -- with all of his experience -- would be the ideal replacement.
Real Madrid are another club rumoured to be interested in landing Torres, who has scored three goals and added two assists in 41 appearances in all competitions this term, as they seek a long-term replacement for Sergio Ramos.

21.59 BST: AC Milan and Napoli are keen to sign 24-year-old centre-back Marcos Senesi from Feyenoord, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. The Argentinian has two years remaining on his contract, and the Dutch club reportedly would sanction his departure for a transfer fee of €15m.
20.42 BST: Eintracht Frankfurt would consider parting with 25-year-old forward Andre Silva, Kicker writes, but only if they receive an offer that includes a transfer fee of €40m or more.
19.25 BST: Corriere dello Sport reports that it's looking increasingly likely that Andrea Pirlo is dismissed as Juventus manager this summer, and there are three names at the top of the Bianconeri's wish list: Zinedine Zidane, widely expected to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season, Sinisa Mihajlovic of Bologna and Lazio's Simone Inzaghi.
18.08 BST: AS Roma are one of a handful of clubs interested in 30-year-old Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, along with Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Internazionale. If they're unable to secure the Netherlands international, some alternative options are said to include Renato Sanches of Lille, Sassuolo's Manuel Locatelli and Marcel Sabitzer of RB Leipzig.
16.51 BST: Manchester City's move for Rochdale winger Kwadwo Baah collapsed in January, but now he's signed for Watford.
Baah, 18, was offered a new deal but has chosen to move to the newly promoted Hornets when his contract expires this summer after Rochdale were relegated from League One.
The England U21 forward, who came through Crystal Palace's academy, has moved on a five-year contract for an undisclosed "six-figure fee."
16.20 BST: The stakes could not be higher for Arsenal in this summer's transfer window. Facing their first season without European football for 25 years, the Gunners have to arrest their decline with an overhaul that reinvents a failing squad and breathes new life into Mikel Arteta's ailing tenure. So who do they Keep? And who do they Dump?

Hector Bellerin (26, 2023)
OLLEY: ESPN revealed in February that Bellerin has an agreement to leave Arsenal this summer. His performances have been underwhelming this season and, after a decade in north London, it feels on all sides as though his time at the club has run its course.
HAMILTON: The right-back has been linked with a return to Barcelona, with PSG also reportedly keen. If he is included in the Spain squad for Euro 2020, that may help increase his value. If Arsenal end up keeping him then it wouldn't be a bad thing, but if they've agreed to let him go then they should.
Verdict: Dump (estimated fee: £25m)
Granit Xhaka (28, 2023)
OLLEY: For me, the Xhaka decision strikes at the heart of Arsenal's rebuild. He isn't good enough but he's better than many players they do have. He has a largely irreparable relationship with the fans, yet he is well liked in the dressing room. If this summer is truly about breaking cyclical past failings, perhaps Xhaka has to leave (although I'm mindful we are gutting the central midfield positions here.)
HAMILTON: It's hard to argue with Olley's points above. Xhaka is a polarising character from the outside looking in, but everyone in the club raves about him. If this summer is about banishing the past, it's time for Xhaka to move on and Arsenal should sign another central midfielder or two.
Verdict: Dump (estimated value: £20m)
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (31, 2023)
OLLEY: This has been a season to forget for Aubameyang: a loss of form, contracting malaria, his mother falling ill and questions over his professionalism arising from poor timekeeping. But he remains in credit for his overall record -- 85 goals in 146 games -- and his presence will be a positive in attracting new signings. Arteta just needs to reignite the spark in him.
HAMILTON: You can imagine former Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel wouldn't mind having a reunion with Aubameyang at Chelsea (and he clearly know how to deal with him). Aubameyang is definitely worth keeping and, after a turbulent season, will be back to his best next term.
Verdict: Keep
15.27 BST: Could Lionel Messi end up staying at Barcelona?
15.02 BST: United States women's national team duo Sam Mewis and Rose Lavelle have announced they are leaving Manchester City and returning to the National Women's Soccer League after one season in the Women's Super League.
Mewis, who was named ESPN's inaugural best women's player in the world, is re-joining North Carolina Courage on a two-year contract while Lavelle will play with OL Reign, who acquired her rights in a trade with Washington Spirit in August 2020.
While at City, the two midfielders won the FA Cup, made it to the Champions League quarterfinals and finished second in the WSL -- just two points behind winners Chelsea.
Mewis scored 13 goals in all competitions and quickly became a regular feature on Gareth Taylor's side while Lavelle struggled to get game time. She made just three starts for City and scored five goals in all competitions.
The WSL season finished on May 9 and the NWSL regular season started on May 15. Lavelle will begin training with OL Reign on May 26 and is expected to be available for their game against Washington Spirit on May 30.
14.30 BST: The Sun claims Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma will cost £40m to sign this summer.
Bissouma, 24, has impressed Arsenal and Liverpool with his performances this season but his contract expires in 2023 and he is likely to move on to a bigger club soon.
As such, the Seagulls have named the fee it would take to sign the Mali international. Though it remains to be seen if any club can match it.
13.26 BST: Atletico Madrid defender Kieran Trippier is being tracked by Manchester United, Everton and Paris Saint-Germain, says The Athletic.
Atletico are one game away from winning a first LaLiga title in seven years as they sit two points clear of Real Madrid approaching the weekend.
Trippier, 30, has become a first-team regular but his contract expires in 2022 and he is reportedly keen to return to England.
The former Man City, Burnley and Tottenham right-back is on United's list to provide competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, while Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti is a big fan, and PSG (who are managed by his former boss at Spurs, Mauricio Pochettino) are also reportedly looking at Arsenal's Hector Bellerin and Tottenham's Serge Aurier.
12.45 BST: Man United's top brass are in Denmark to hold talks over FC Nordsjaelland forward Kamaldeen Sulemana, says Football Insider.
Sulemana, 19, has scored 10 goals in 28 games this season and has attracted the interest of Ajax. The Ghana international could move for around €18m and United want to ensure they are part of the conversation.
12.09 BST: Barcelona are exploring replacements for Ronald Koeman but president Joan Laporta doesn't want to sack the Dutch coach without having a successor in place, multiple sources have told ESPN's Moises Llorens and Sam Marsden.
Barca had the destiny of the La Liga title in their own hands before facing Granada on April 29 but one win in five games has seen them lose ground on Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid with one game to go.
Sunday's 2-1 defeat at Camp Nou against Celta Vigo officially ended the Catalan club's hopes of winning the league and increased the doubts surrounding Koeman's future. However, Koeman, who led Barca to Copa del Rey success earlier this season, still has one year left on his contract and sources at the club told ESPN he could still fulfil his deal if none of the alternatives convince.
The same sources told ESPN that Barca are keen to avoid a repeat of what happened after Ernesto Valverde was sacked in 2020 without a substitute lined up.
11.04 BST: Where will Cristiano Ronaldo end up if he leaves Juventus?
10.19 BST: AC Milan squandered the chance to secure a long-awaited return to the Champions League in a 0-0 Serie A draw at home to Cagliari on Sunday, but it may make no difference over the future of midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.
Calhanoglu, 27, has a contract which expires this summer and has yet to reach an agreement to stay.
"I am very happy that we reached this point. We're fired up and want to book our spot in the Champions League," Calhanoglu told Sky Sport Italia before the Cagliari match. "I always said that I wanted to get into the Champions League with Milan. However, my future does not depend on the Champions League. I am very happy to be here playing for Milan. At the end of the season, I will sit down with Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara to discuss my future. They are the ones in charge and I respect them."
10.07 BST: Lille have conceded only 22 league goals so far in 2020-21 and part of that is down to the impressive Sven Botman.
Botman, 21, has been linked with Tottenham and Liverpool since joining from Ajax for €8m last July but told The Athletic that he's happy at Lille for now.
"It is a good compliment when you hear these clubs are interested," he said. "I'm lying if I say it's not interesting me -- it's the first time such big clubs are linked to me -- but it was early days, because in January I was only at Lille for half a season. It was nice to hear but I was focusing on Lille and I'm still doing this. After the season, I will enjoy a vacation and see what happens next.
"If I'm honest, the Premier League is one of the leagues I dreamed about... but also Serie A, La Liga, the Bundesliga. The Premier League is something special. It's the football I really like and that fits me."
Another Lille star to be attracting attention is 22-year-old midfielder Boubakary Soumare. Leicester City are reportedly leading the race for him and teammate Botman has been impressed too.
"If I'm honest, I think Soumare is one of the most talented players I have ever played with," Botman said. "He is similar to Ryan Gravenberch at Ajax but Soumare is more physical and has a lot of quality. I'm sure he is going to be a really top player. I can imagine some clubs, like Leicester or others in the Premier League, are interested. All credit to him, because he is having an amazing season."
09.25 BST: Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea are starting to fall apart with the Premier League top-four race still on and Champions League final ahead, writes Mark Ogden.
Tuchel has been able to get more consistency from expensive summer signings Timo Werner and Kai Havertz than Lampard, but neither Germany forward has been anything close to prolific. Havertz, who did not start against Leicester, has scored only three goals -- against mid-table Palace and relegated Fulham -- in 19 games under Tuchel, while Werner has been even less productive, with three goals in 21 games. The former PSG boss has overseen an improvement in Christian Pulisic's form, but the American rarely starts the biggest games. As for Mason Mount, arguably Chelsea's player of the season, Tuchel said after the Wembley defeat that the young England midfielder needed a break to revitalise himself after 61 appearances for club and country this season.
Defensively, Chelsea remain strong, with Antonio Rudiger making a big difference to the team's solidity since being restored to the team by Tuchel after being consistently overlooked by Lampard. But Tuchel's tinkering in goal has proved costly. Kepa Arrizabalaga played in the defeats against Leicester and Arsenal as Tuchel rested Edouard Mendy, who has been outstanding since arriving from Rennes last summer. Mendy will return against Leicester, but the damage to Chelsea's confidence has already been done.
08.44 BST: Real Madrid are considering Massimiliano Allegri and club legend Raul to replace Zinedine Zidane if the French coach decides to leave at the end of the season, sources have told ESPN's Rodrigo Faez and Alex Kirkland.
Allegri, out of a job since leaving Juventus in 2019, and Raul, currently in charge of Madrid's B team, Castilla, are the best-placed candidates, but not the only names on the shortlist.
Zidane -- who already quit the Madrid job once in 2018 -- has persistently refused to confirm that he'll see out his contract, which runs until 2022.
"There are moments when you have to stay, and others when you have to go," he hinted in a cryptic news conference on Saturday.
08.30 BST: Cristiano Ronaldo has no plans of returning to play in Portugal in the near future, according to his agent Jorge Mendes.
After Ronaldo's mother, Dolores Aveiro, told Sporting CP supporters she will try to convince her son to return to his boyhood club this summer, reports in Portugal and Spain claim the Juventus forward could return to where he began his sporting career.
Sporting won the league title for the first time in 19 years last week and Ronaldo, 36, congratulated his former club on the feat. With Juve having yet to guarantee Champions League football next season, rumours circulated that Ronaldo, who has one year left on his contract with the Turin giants, could join Sporting.
"Cristiano is proud of the title achieved by Sporting as he has expressed publicly," Mendes told Record. "But for the time being, his career plans are not in Portugal."

- Luis Suarez has told Club del Deportista that he'd like to "have the experience" of playing in Major League Soccer before he hangs up his boots. The Uruguay international admits that he is fully focused on Atletico Madrid for now, and that he believes he has more seasons left in him at the highest level, but that an offer from America would be an enticing one. Suarez, 34, has scored 20 goals in 31 league games, including Sunday's dramatic winner against Osasuna as Atletico stayed two points ahead of rivals Real Madrid in La Liga's title race with just one game to go.
- Barcelona are considering a move for Real Valladolid youngster Ivan San Jose. Sport reports Barca have been impressed by San Jose's energy and goals from a deeper position while playing for Valladolid's youth team, with the 17-year-old grabbing his latest goal against Atletico Madrid's academy on Saturday.
- Marseille are looking to replace 36-year-old goalkeeper Steve Mandanda with Alexander Nubel from Bayern Munich, according to Sport 1. Nubel, 24, is desperate for more playing time and, while Bayern board member Oliver Kahn is keen to see the keeper stay at Bayern next season, Nubel reportedly wants to be a No. 1 -- something he knows he won't get by staying behind Manuel Neuer in Bavaria.
- Borussia Dortmund are adamant that striker Erling Haaland will stay another season, sporting director Michael Zorc has said in an interview with Sky Sports Germany. The claim followed Dortmund's victory over Mainz, which sees the club secure Champions League football next season. Haaland is a target for a number of top clubs including Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester City, but he is contracted until 2024.
- AC Milan are looking to keep forward Brahim Diaz beyond the end of the season, Milan director of football Frederic Massara has told Sky Sports. The 21-year-old has been on loan in Italy from Real Madrid this season, and though no option to sign him permanently was included in the deal, the Rossoneri are keen to extend Diaz's stay.
