LIVE Transfer Talk: Ramos set to leave Real Madrid as Mbappe chase continues

The transfer window opened in early January, and speculation is heating up about potential deals. Check out the latest gossip below, and see all official deals here.

TOP STORY: Ramos set to leave Real Madrid as Mbappe chase continues

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos' future seems away from the Bernabeu, according to Cadena SER

Ramos, 34, is reportedly offended that Madrid aren't making enough of an effort to renew his contract, which expires this summer. The defender had hoped to agree on a new deal before the end of January but things have not progressed.

Speculation that Madrid intend to sign Bayern Munich's David Alaba as a free agent and that Ramos has an offer from PSG, appear to have cooled negotiations.

Meanwhile, Madrid want PSG striker Kylian Mbappe to make a sign that he is interested in joining them, according to Marca.

Mbappe, 22, is contracted to Paris Saint-Germain until June 2022 and has requested more time to consider his future in view of the financial crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

PSG have reportedly offered the France star a contract extension but no deal has yet been reached. Madrid are among the clubs in the race to sign him in the summer, despite net debt of around €355m, and want to ensure they have the green light to make a move in excess of €100m should Mbappe decide not to extend his time in Paris.

LIVE BLOG

22.00 GMT: That will do it for the latest edition of our LIVE Transfer Talk blog. We hoped you enjoyed following along with us and remind you to check back shortly for the latest transfer rumours, reports and completed deals. Goodnight!

21.33 GMT: Angel Di Maria is 32 and out of contract at the end of the season but one place he will not be going is back home to Argentina.

According to Calciomercato, Di Maria has ruled out a return to boyhood club Rosario Central ... for now, citing a desire to continue to play at the highest level in Europe. In recent weeks, El Fideo has been linked with Juventus and Tottenham.

The Argentine has previously indicated he would like to finish his career with Rosario Central.

20.58 GMT: Napoli already have one Mexican in their squad in Hirving Lozano but could another soon join 'Chucky' at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona?

Sources have told Mediotiempo that Chivas winger Uriel Antuna, who once was signed for Man City, has garnered interest from Italy, including from Lozano's Napoli. Antuna has so far amassed four goals and seven assists since returning to Liga MX with Chivas last year, and previously starred in MLS alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic with the LA Galaxy.

Negotiations have yet to begin but the 23-year-old Antuna's 'characteristics' suggest he could return to Europe in the future, according to the report.

20.22 GMT: Big Sam looks to be close to landing the striker he requested, as Mbaye Diagne is having a medical in Turkey today ahead of a move to West Brom, according to Sky.

The 29-year-old Senegalese is expected to join on loan through the end of the season but it remains to be seen whether the Baggies will then have an option to buy. Diagne, who has nine goals in 15 games this season, is tasked with giving a WBA attack that has only scored 15 goals in 20 games this season a much-needed shot in the arm.

The well-travelled striker, who was once on the books at Juventus, has played in France, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Hungary, China and Turkey, and notably led the Turkish Super Lig in goals with 30 (in 27 games) in 2018-19.

19.41 GMT: West Ham are getting closer to securing a loan deal for Man United outcast Jesse Lingard, according to Sky.

Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol told the Transfer Show "West Ham have now offered the full £1.5m loan fee - plus Lingard's wages - to get him on loan for the rest of the season, but they have still to hear back from Man Utd."

Earlier in the week, West Ham converted Said Benrahma's summer loan to a permanent deal, opening up the possibility for West Ham to take another domestically-based player on loan.

19.06 GMT: Nashville SC have loaned Ghanian attacker David Accam to Sweden's Hammarby.

The deal calls for an initial 12-month loan with the Swedish club then holding the option to buy the 30-year-old on a permanent basis. Accam scored 41 goals in 131 MLS appearances between Chicago, Philadelphia, Columbus and Nashville, including one goal in seven appearances for expansion side Nashville.

Accam is well-known in Sweden having previously played there between 2012-14 with Ostersunds and Helsingborgs.

18.32 GMT: Man United youngster Facundo Pellistri may soon be headed out on loan.

Signed from Penarol in the summer, the 19-year-old has yet to appear for United's first team but has impressed with the Under-23s. Goal.com understands that United have opened up talks with La Liga outfit Alaves about taking the Uruguayan winger on loan through the end of the season. United gave Pellistri the freedom to seek a loan to gain valuable playing time and it looks as if he may have found one in Alaves.

"There have been talks and quite a few clubs interested in Facundo to go out on loan and that's maybe something we'll let him do now he's had a few games in the reserves and we want him to have regular football at a high level," Solskjaer said a press conference on Tuesday afternoon.

18.01 GMT: Could Cenk Tosun return to Besiktas?

The little-used Everton striker has been linked with his former club, as well as CSKA Moscow, and addressed the former in an interview with NTV Spor.

"If Everton and Beşiktaş have an agreement, I am ready to wear the black and white jersey again. I would like to contribute to Beşiktaş until the end of the season. If Everton approves the transfer, it will not be a problem for me."

The Turkey international, 29, has scored just 11 goals in 58 appearances for Everton following his £27 million arrival from Besiktas, and previously played for the Turkish giants between 2014-18. Early in the day, Everton loaned another forgotten attacker Yannick Bolasie to Middlesbrough.

17.26 GMT: Relegation-fighters Fulham could really do with adding a mobile striker before the end of the window but any chances of that likely hinge on first moving out some unwanted players.

Midfielder Stefan Johansen recently joined QPR on loan and it appears fellow midfielder Jean Michael Seri may be next. Foot Mercato understands that talks are progressing with Bordeaux over a loan deal that would see the Ivorian return to Ligue 1. The main hangup at the moment is the player's wages, which Fulham are hoping the French side will agree to pay the majority of.

The 29-year-old, who was a splash signing for Fulham back in 2018, just never adjusted to life in the Premier League, and after a loan spell in Turkey with Galatasaray last campaign, has made just two cup appearances for the Whites in 2020-21.

16.58 GMT: Real Madrid have been tracking teenage sensation Eduardo Camavinga but the 18-year-old midfielder could be set to stay at Rennes beyond his current contract end date of June 2022?

"My change of agent? These are things that happen, we shouldn't focus on that," he told a news conference. "I have faith in my parents quite simply. Could I sign an extension? Yes. Do I want to? Yes. What is holding it up? I do not know, there are negotiations. If you want to talk about that, there is my father... It is you, the journalists, who have been talking about me leaving, but I am 100% focused on the club."

16.13 GMT: A potential boost for relegation threatened West Bromwich Albion? Sources have told ESPN's David Cartlidge that Sam Allardyce's side have struck a deal to bring Turkey international Okay Yokuslu to England.

The midfielder, who can also fill in at centre-back, will join the club on a loan deal until the end of the season without an option to buy. The 26-year-old is out of favour at Celta Vigo and WBA have been working hard to strike a deal. Although the move appeared to be off last week, things have changed with the clubs now coming to an agreement.

15.47 GMT: Arsenal signed Martin Odegaard on loan from Real Madrid. But will he play?

14.58 GMT: Swansea City are interested in adding D.C. United winger Paul Arriola to their squad, sources have told ESPN's Tom Hamilton.

The Championship side have already snapped up Jordan Morris on a loan deal from Seattle Sounders and have returned to America with interest in Arriola.

Sources said there is a "50/50" chance of the move happening before Monday's deadline, with discussions underway over a loan move. The USMNT international will be buoyed by the fact that D.C. majority owner Jason Levien is also a co-owner at Swansea.

14.35 GMT: Di Marzio also claims that French Ligue 1 side Nice are in talks with Barcelona over the signing of centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo.

Todibo, 21, moved to Barcelona from Toulouse on a free transfer in 2019 but hasn't managed to secure a place in the first-team and has spent time on loan with Schalke and Benfica.

14.21 GMT: It's starting to get silly now...

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Roma have offered striker Edin Dzeko to Inter Milan in a swap deal with Alexis Sanchez.

Evidently Inter are more open to this than letting Christian Eriksen be part of the deal, as they need to drop their wage bill and moving Sanchez on (despite only signing him this summer) would help this.

13.46 GMT: Mesut Ozil is excited to start a new adventure at Fenerbahce after leaving Arsenal.

13.10 GMT: Juventus have signed 20-year-old Marseille striker Marley Ake, with 18-year-old midfielder Franco Tongya going the other way.

Both players are valued at €8m, which makes it more of a swap deal, with Ake signing a five-year contract at Juve until June 30, 2025.

13.01 GMT: Fiorentina have signed Napoli full-back Kevin Malcuit on loan until the end of the season.

12.55 GMT: Panama international striker Gabriel Torres is set to join Pumas to strengthen their attack following the injury of Juan Dinenno, sources have told ESPN Deportes.

Torres, 32, was playing at Independiente del Valle in Ecuador but his rights belongs to Universidad de Chile. Pumas have stepped up negotiations with the Chilean side in recent days with the striker expecting to arrive in Mexico on Saturday for a medical.

12.41 GMT: Boca Juniors are interested in signing Fabricio Bustos from Independiente, according to ESPN Argentina sources.

Independiente recently turned down an offer to sign him worth $1.5m -- plus the cancellation of the $2.1m debt they have over the transfer of Pablo Perez -- but according to ESPN's Augusto Cesar, Boca are planning to make a new attempt.

12.13 GMT: Juventus have resumed talks with Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The report says that Juve used the upcoming signing of Marley Ake to restart negotiations, as Ake shares an agent with Aouar.

Ake is set to join the club from Marseille in exchange for Franco Tongya and now the Bianconeri want more arrivals, though possibly not until the summer.

Aouar, 22, has linked with many of Europe's top clubs, including Arsenal, and has three goals and three assists from 16 Ligue 1 games this season. Lyon are reported to want around €45m for his services.

11.26 GMT: Celtic, Arsenal and Chelsea are following Hibernian left-back Josh Doig, says Sky Sports.

Doig, 18, only made his first-team debut last August but has become an important part of the side and is now attracting interest from some top clubs.

10.52 GMT: Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has only played twice on loan at Atletico Madrid and could now make a move to Monaco, according to Sky Sports.

Torreira, 24, has struggled to impress in Spain and Fiorentina and Cagliari were interested in bringing him back to Serie A, having previously played for Sampdoria.

However, Atletico Madrid would have to agree to cut his loan short before any deal could be done, though talks are ongoing with Monaco.

10.31 GMT: Manchester United could turn to Hoffenheim midfielder Christoph Baumgartner in the summer.

09.53 GMT: The Athletic reports that "Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour is considering the possibility of securing a loan move away from Stamford Bridge before the transfer window shuts next week."

Gilmour, 19, has barely played this season but was part of Frank Lampard's plans for the second half of the season. However, now that Thomas Tuchel has replaced Lampard, the Scotland U21 international could move on in search of more game time.

09.31 GMT: Martin Odegaard leaving Real Madrid again, this time for a loan to Arsenal, is an indictment of a club that doesn't really care about young talent, writes Sid Lowe.

This week, Martin Odegaard told Real Madrid that he wanted to leave. He wanted to play; he didn't want to wait. The last time we saw him, it was as he ran up the pitch alone and after the game, training on his own. He had started just three times. He has not played a full 90 minutes once. In total, he has been on the pitch for just 242 minutes this season. There have been no goals, no assists. At this stage last season, he had played all but two games, scored four goals and provided five assists. Only Mariano Diaz, Eder Militao, Luka Jovic, Alvaro Odriozola and Andriy Lunin have played less.

That was always a possible outcome, though probably not to this extreme. Real Madrid is different; the competition is more intense, opportunities rare and continuity rarer still. Patience may be a virtue, but they don't have the time, nor much space for personal development.

09.04 GMT: Dele Alli is facing an anxious wait over his proposed move to Paris Saint-Germain with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy reluctant to let the midfielder leave, sources have told ESPN's James Olley.

The 24-year-old has been frozen out of the first-team picture under head coach Jose Mourinho and former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen to reunite with Alli in France.

Sources have told ESPN that Alli is keen on the move and Mourinho is willing to let him go but Levy is proving to be the major stumbling block.

08.30 GMT: Fluminense striker Marcos Paulo will join Atletico Madrid this summer, according to AS.

Paulo, 19, will sign a five-year contract with the Rojiblancos but will continue at Fluminense until June 30, when his contract expires.

The Brazilian-born star, who has played for Portugal's youth teams, was free to negotiate with Atletico after deciding not to sign a new deal with his club.

PAPER TALK (by Danny Lewis)

Dortmund looking to sign Locatelli

Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing Sassuolo midfielder Manuel Locatelli, as has been suggested by Sport 1.

BVB have had other midfield targets in recent times, with one of those being Neuhaus, but it seems as though their attention has turned to Locatelli, who has also attracted interest from Juventus.

While things are far from confirmed, it is reported that Dortmund might look to Italy as they aim to freshen up their midfield.

Long close to securing loan move to England

New York Red Bulls and USMNT centre-back Aaron Long is close to completing a loan move to England, says Sky Sports.

The report suggests Long will follow in the footsteps of Seattle Sounders forward Jordan Morris, who just joined Swansea on loan, by making a temporary move to the Championship. This comes a year after West Ham United had a loan move rejected for Long.

The outlet adds that at least one side from England's second tier has made an approach to bring in the defender, who has 18 caps for the U.S.

Premier League duo showing interest in Dzeko

Premier League duo West Ham United and Everton are looking into signing AS Roma striker Edin Dzeko, reports TalkSPORT.

The Bosnia & Herzegovina international has been told that he needs to train alone after falling out with Roma boss Paulo Fonseca.

Everton see him as backup for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, while the Hammers are after a replacement for Sebastien Haller having let the Ivory Coast international leave for Ajax.

The report adds that the move for Dzeko could be either a loan or permanent signing.

Tap-ins

- Juventus are meeting with Sassuolo to discuss three possible moves, reports Calciomercato, with Gianluca Scamacca being top of the priority list. There will also be negotiations around the possibility of Nicolo Fagioli joining Sassuolo, with the valuation said to be between €10m and €12m.

- AC Milan are adamant that they will sign Palmeiras' Matias Vina, according to Calciomercato. The 23-year-old, who will play in the Copa Libertadores final, as Palmeiras face Santos on Saturday, could soon be bound for Milan.
