          The coronavirus pandemic has made the summer transfer window uncertain, but here are the rumours floating around Europe's big leagues and beyond.

          TOP STORY: Barca eye Cavani if Martinez chase falters

          Edinson Cavani is a free agent next month and Barcelona are weighing up a move for Paris Saint-Germain's Uruguayan star in the coming weeks, reports Sport.

          There continues to be much speculation about the future of the freescoring striker as he receives offers from all over Europe, but Barca could be tricky to turn down.

          Chelsea were also reported to be interested in the 33-year-old, but with the Blues already signing Timo Werner for €53 million, they're no longer in the race to sign PSG's all-time top goalscorer.

          Barca are determined to sign a new striker for the 2020-21 season but with Inter Milan digging their heels in over the €111m asking price for Lautaro Martinez, the Catalan club may have to look for a cheaper alternative.

          Cavani will leave PSG after having scored 200 goals in 301 matches and has also attracted interest from Atletico Madrid.

          22.29 BST: Former U.S. youth international and Fiorentina starlet Josh Perez has signed with Spanish third-tier side Castellon in a deal that will keep the 22-year-old with the club through next season.

          21.42 BST: Toronto FC, MLS Cup winners in 2017 and finalists in three of the past four years, have announced that they've signed 25-year-old U.S. midfielder Marky Delgado to a new "long-term" contract.

          20.55 BST: As Fiorentina await clarification on the futures of three young forwards in Federico Chiesa Dusan Vlahovic and Patrick Cutrone, Corriere dello Sport reports that La Viola have begun identifying potential replacements in Torino captain Andrea Belotti and former AC Milan frontman Krzysztof Piatek, who's rehabilitating his game at Hertha Berlin.

          20.08 BST: Barcelona are preparing to sell Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal this summer, according to Sport, with the former singularly focused on a return to Sevilla and the latter reportedly destined to return to Serie A, potentially with Inter.

          19.21 BST: As Arsenal continue to be linked with activating the €50m release clause in Thomas's contract, Mundo Deportivo writes that Atletico Madrid are evaluating two alternatives for the base of midfield. Getafe's 24-year-old Mauro Arambarri is high on their list and has a €25m release clause, but Inter and Monaco are also keen on the Uruguayan. Napoli's 29-year-old Allan is another under consideration, and the Catalan outlet cites Tuttosport as reporting that Los Rojiblancos would offer no more than €25m - a fee below the Italian club's valuation - and that they face competition from Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.

          18.34 BST: The agent of Philippe Coutinho is working to get his client to Arsenal, according to the Mirror, but any move would need to be a move because the Gunners couldn't afford the financial package required to secure the 28-year-old playmaker. And even if the North London club can negotiate a loan arrangement, they would still need Barcelona to subsidise a portion of Coutinho's wages.

          17.47 BST: As rumours mount that Thiago is preparing to leave Bayern Munich ahead of his contract expiring in summer of 2021, kicker reports that the eight-time defending Bundesliga champions will demand between €60m and €80m in exchange for the 29-year-old midfielder - a figure that would serve as the foundation for a bid for 21-year-old Bayer Leverkusen wunderkind Kai Havertz.

          17.00 BST: Manchester City could let John Stones leave if they get a good offer, reports former El Chiringuito journalist Jose Alvarez.

          Aymeric Laporte and Eric Garcia have been assured of their places at City next season but Stones, who has been linked to Arsenal, is less secure and Nicolas Otamendi will likely leave this summer.

          Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly is the top target to come in, with City ready to offer over €80m for the 29-year-old. Inter Milan's Alessandro Bastoni and Leicester's Caglar Soyuncu are also reportedly on the shortlist if Koulibaly doesn't arrive.

          15.49 BST: Sporting Lisbon youngster Joelson Fernandes has attracted the interest of Arsenal, says O Jogo.

          The 17-year-old is being monitored by Barcelona and RB Leipzig, but Arsenal are leading the race and the forward has a reported release clause of €45m.

          15.19 BST: Clubs are starting to reveal who is being let go and who is staying on.

          Liverpool say that full-back Nathaniel Clyne will depart the club at the end of the month when his contract expires.

          And Everton are releasing Oumar Niasse, Cuco Martina, and Luke Garbutt.

          15.04 BST: Borussia Dortmund have announced the signing of full-back Thomas Meunier from PSG on a free transfer this summer.

          14.52 BST: With Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial up front, it seems Man United have no need to be looking for a new striker.

          14.13 BST: Defender Javier Manquillo has signed a new four-year deal at Newcastle United.

          And big striker Andy Carroll has also signed a new one-year deal.

          14.08 BST: Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has said the club want to keep United States teenager Gio Reyna at the club for "as long as possible."

          Reyna, 17, provided an assist as he made his first start for Dortmund against RB Leipzig on Saturday, in what was his 17th competitive appearance for the club.

          He scored his first goal in a 3-2 defeat at Bremen in the German Cup in February. Reyna is under a youth contract until 2021, but Dortmund want to tie him to a long-term deal once he turns 18 in November.

          13.34 BST: Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is being tracked by Birmingham City, according to Football Insider.

          Gerrard is first choice for the Championship side after they announced the exit of Pep Clotet earlier this month.

          13.15 BST: Chelsea are doing some good business in the transfer market recently and The Athletic claims that RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano is now on their list.

          Not content with landing Leipzig striker Timo Werner for €53m, the Blues want to take the 21-year-old centre-back from the club as well and are ready to spend €55m to make it happen.

          Upamecano reportedly has a release clause in his contract and has been scouted by Arsenal for months.

          12.25 BST: Wolves' Adama Traore has been linked with all the top clubs in Europe.

          11.38 BST: Barcelona want to sign Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele and are reportedly prepared to offer Philippe Coutinho or Nelson Semedo in exchange, says the Daily Express.

          Ndombele, 23, has told manager Jose Mourinho that he never wants to play for him again following a clash earlier this week, sources told ESPN's Julien Laurens.

          The Frenchman, who joined Spurs last summer from Lyon for €62m -- the most expensive player in the club's history and one of the highest earners with a salary of just under £10m a year -- has had enough of the constant criticism and taunts coming from his manager, either in private or publicly, which have happened since Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino last November.

          10.46 BST: Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea winger Pedro has agreed to join Roma on a free transfer.

          10.34 BST: Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has impressed this season but the club need to tie him down to a new contract.

          09.45 BST: Staying with Liverpool, it's well documented that the club want to bring in a creative player but the Daily Mirror reckons that could be West Ham's Manuel Lanzini.

          Lanzini, 27, has done well in the Premier League and Jurgen Klopp has reportedly been following him since 2017. The Argentine would also cost a lot less than many of the players linked to Anfield, especially if the Hammers are relegated.

          09.09 BST: Hertha Berlin are considering making another attempt to keep Liverpool loanee Marko Grujic at the club.

          The Serbian midfielder has featured for the capital club in the past two seasons and will return to Anfield in the summer. But Hertha coach Bruno Labbadia told kicker that "Marko is part of our thoughts" for the new squad.

          "The first question is whether it's possible [to retain him] and the second one is whether he fits with our new signing Lucas Tousart or is a different player, a better fit," Labbadia added.

          Serbian media, meanwhile, have linked Grujic with Borussia Monchengladbach: Hertha Berlin's opponent on the final day of the season this Saturday.

          08.38 BST: Miralem Pjanic could become Barcelona's fist summer signing this week, according to reports.

          Diario Sport claims the Juventus midfielder has agreed terms with Barca and is waiting for Arthur Melo to finalise his agreement with the Italian giants for a player exchange deal to be completed.

          According to Sport, Juve will pay Barca more than €10m in compensation as part of the swap deal, with Arthur having a higher valuation than Pjanic.

          08.00 BST: Ansu Fati's father says he doesn't know anything about Manchester United's reported interest in his son and insists they are both happy in Barcelona.

          Ansu, 17, signed a new two-year contract with Barca in December that ties him to the club until at least the summer of 2022. He made the breakthrough into Ernesto Valverde's first-team plans this season and has played in two of Barca's last four games.

          "Ansu can't be a starter at Barca right now," Bori Fati told Cadena Ser. "I've always been happy since my son is at Barca ... I know nothing about Manchester United. Ansu and I are comfortable here in Barcelona. Everyone that leaves Barca then wants to come back."

          Bori added that his son is privileged to play alongside Lionel Messi: "Messi is the father of all footballers there. If you are alongside Messi, you have to be delighted and thank God."

          Italian clubs circle around Aubameyang

          Inter Milan and Juventus are closing in on Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to Le10 Sport.

          The Gabon international is out of contract next summer and while the Gunners are intent on keeping him in north London beyond that date, other clubs are keen to add his potent goal scoring to their squad.

          The club announced on Wednesday that David Luiz has signed a one-year extension, Dani Ceballos will stay on loan until the end of the season, and Cedric Soares and Pablo Mari will join the club on a permanent basis after their loan spells end. However, Aubameyang isn't proving quite as easy.

          Inter are looking at potential replacements should the aforementioned Martinez leave for Barca, while Juventus are looking to address their recent lack of goals.

          Both Italian clubs are guaranteed to play Champions League football next year while Arsenal's chances of Europe look under threat, which could spur Aubameyang to leave the Emirates this summer before his contract ends in 2021.

          Milan trying to keep Donnarumma

          As clubs continue to monitor Gianluigi Donnarumma, AC Milan are increasingly desperate to ensure the goalkeeper renews his contract to stay in the fashion capital of Italy.

          The 21-year-old's current deal is up for renewal in 2021 and while Donnarumma remains the focus of many clubs' attentions, Calciomercato reports that the Rossoneri club executives are doing everything they can to extend his stay.

          Tap-ins

          - Marseille winger Florian Thauvin could be looking for a new club this summer, reveals L'Equipe. Club president Jacques-Henri Eyraud has stated that his star man is not for sale, but the club's finances could dictate otherwise. Thauvin is free to sign for another club from January 2021 and so Marseille will have to decide whether or not they can afford to extend his contract, or whether they should cash in this summer before he's able to leave on a free.

          - Burnley will be forced to field youngsters in order to fill their bench to finish the season as Jeff Hendrick leads four players whose contracts won't be extended beyond June 30. Hendricks is joined by Joe Hart, Aaron Lennon and Adam Legzdins in having to look for a new club this summer. According to the Independent, Burnley were believed to have offered contracts that fell short of player expectations, a result of the ongoing financial uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.
