LIVE Transfer Talk: Chelsea face massive competition in move for Leicester's Ben Chilwell

The coronavirus pandemic has made the summer transfer window uncertain, but here are the rumours floating around Europe's big leagues and beyond.

TOP STORY: Chelsea face seven-club scramble for Chilwell

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard apparently has a battle on his hands to land the signing of Leicester City full-back Ben Chilwell, with up to seven other clubs clamouring for his signature, reports The Mirror.

Chelsea, who appear to have already landed the first major signing of the summer by beating Liverpool to striker Timo Werner from RB Leipzig, are keen to strengthen further ahead of the 2020-21 season. Chilwell has been at the top of their transfer list, with Lampard keen to provide more options in the left-back area.

Chilwell was looking as though he might prove too expensive, but his apparent willingness to move away from the King Power Stadium, coupled with Chelsea's determination in the transfer market, could see the Blues reportedly bid £70 million for the left-back.

However, at least four Premier League clubs are also interested, as well as several other clubs across the continent.

PAPER ROUND

Grealish the top target for Solskjaer

Aston Villa star Jack Grealish is now Manchester United's top transfer target this summer ahead of Jadon Sancho, according to the Daily Mirror.

They're suggesting that the 24-year-old playmaker is the player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes can push United back toward the top of the table.

Grealish has been courted by United all year, and it's reported that the club have been doing their due diligence ahead of a £80m move.

United have also been heavily linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho, but the German club appear unwilling to lower their £100m asking price, which could prove too steep for United amidst this era of financial uncertainty.

Four-way scrap for Fiorentina's Chiesa

The Daily Mail reports Manchester United and Chelsea lead a host of clubs chasing Fiorentina midfielder Federico Chiesa, and they've all been boosted by the news that club owner Rocco Commisso has said he can leave for the right price.

The 22-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move away from Italy this summer, and as well as United and Chelsea, Italian rivals Juventus and Inter Milan are also keen to land the Italy international.

Chiesa appears happy to stay to work on developing his game in Florence, but with four or more clubs circling and Fiorentina boasting a ready-made replacement in Gaetano Castrovilli, Chiesa could be on his way if any of the clubs meet Commisso's valuation.

That fee was believed to be around £60m before the coronavirus struck, so it could be as little as £45m now. He has scored six goals and added seven assists in 26 games this season.

Rabiot has had an underwhelming first season at Juventus, where he has failed to register a single goal or assist in 25 attempts. The 25-year-old is wanted by a strong of clubs, with Juventus tempted to sell him, and the story says that Ancelotti's relationship with the midfielder could give the Toffees an advantage.
