The Daily Mail is reporting that more problems have surfaced regarding the potential deal that would have Paul Pogba join Real Madrid.

Though the France international seems determined to leave Manchester United this summer, it doesn't look as if the Bernabeu is going to be the most likely destination for him with his wage demands being the issue.

The thought is that Pogba's potential net salary in Madrid will cause discontent in the dressing room, even if the deal comes in the form of a part exchange.

22.23 BST: With Liverpool reportedly cooling their interest in RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner, Mundo Deportivo understands that the Reds could reignite their interest in Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele.

Still just 23, Dembele, who once tallied 10 goals and 21 assists in a season at Jurgen Klopp's old club Borussia Dortmund, has been a huge disappointment since becoming the second-most expensive transfer in history (an initial €105 million) back in 2017. Klopp is on the record as a huge admirer of Dembele and reportedly believes he can get the best out of the oft-injured Frenchman, whose career has stalled since arriving at the Camp Nou.

With Barcelona desperate to raise money to potentially buy Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez and Dembele's stock down, Liverpool may be able to get the Frenchman for a bargain £37m, according to reports.

21.35 BST: Alexandre Lacazette to Inter Milan?

Not so fast. Le Equipe, via The Daily Mail, say the Frenchman has told them he is 'not interested' in a summer move to the San Siro. With Inter widely tipped to lose Lautaro Martinez to Barcelona this summer, Antonio Conte and Co. have been linked with Lacazette, his Arsenal teammate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Dries Mertens among others as potential replacements for the Argentine.

Atletico Madrid have also been linked with the Frenchman, who has accounted for 45 goals and 21 assists since arriving as the club's record signing from Lyon in 2017.

20.52 BST: Goalkeeper has been a position of weakness for Aston Villa over the past couple years and have led to rumours of a sensational reunion with former goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini.

Gazzetto dello Sport claims that Villa have enquired about the 25-year-old Atalanta shot-stopper, who according to the same outlet would now cost £22 million. Gollini played at Villa Park during the 2016-17 season but was then initially loaned out to Atlanta before joining the Italian side on a permanent basis for £4m in June 2018. Having impressed as Atlanta's No. 1 the past two seasons, Gollini is also reportedly on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur.

20.07 BST: Wolves are reportedly at the front of the queue for highly-rated Reading teenager Danny Loader, writes the Daily Mail.

The publication writes that Wolves are favourites to land the underage England striker, who is set to become a free agent at the end of the season. A prolific scorer with Reading's youth teams, Loader, 19, made his first team debut at just 16 years of age and has been up with the big club since.

With Reading forced to pull back their £9,000-per-week contract offer due to the financial crunch of the coronavirus shutdown, Wolves, Crystal Palace, Leeds and Swansea are all reportedly lining up to sign the promising youngster.

19.01 BST: Liverpool have been linked with Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze but Goal are reporting that they may have competition from London rivals Chelsea. 

Chelsea's ideal summer signing would be Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho but the 20-year-old comes with a €100m price tag and also has several other European teams chasing him

Chukwueze is seen as a cheaper, more attainable option for the club. 

The Nigeria international has 12 goals and seven assists from 68 appearances for the club and has scored twice in 13 appearances for the national side. 

18.33 BST: Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has said it would be a "dream" to play with Boca Juniors as uncertainty continues over his stay in London. 

The 25-year-old joined Arsenal from Sampdoria in 2018 but has long been linked with a move away from the Emirates. 

The Uruguay international made that seem all the more likely when he said he wants to return to South America to play with his childhood club.

"I imagine a Copa Libertadores night at the Bombonera wearing Boca's shirt, of course," he told Fox Sports Argentina.

"Right now my head is in Europe and I was to stay for a while, but I have that desire and dream to go [to Boca] -- and not just to retire, but to compete and feel what the Boca world is."

17.47 BST: Herculez Gomez told ESPN FC TV that the MLS should be pushing to sign a player of Mario Gotze's caliber.

16.59 BST: Germany legend Jurgen Klinsmann has said that Harry Kane should stay at Tottenham and not go trophy hunting elsewhere. 

Two short stints at Spurs gave Klinsmann a massive profile in North London but left after just one year for Bayern Munich in 1995. 

Despite achieving success with Bayern -- winning the UEFA Cup and the Bundesliga -- Klinsmann wouldn't encourage Kane to follow his path. 

"He can achieve anything he puts his mind to," Klinsmann told talkSPORT .

"He's so, so talented, exceptional and he's now into a stage of his career where he is far more mature.

"Watching him from a distance, you wish him now titles. When you play a professional career, and you get the opportunity to play in a top-five team Tottenham have not won anything since League Cup glory in 2008. In any country in the world, then it's about winning titles.

"And so, I keep all my fingers crossed for Spurs and for him that he can collect trophies -- that's what it is all about at the end of the day."

15.22 BST: Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal is "dying" to sign for Argentine side Boca Juniors before his career ends, according to Chile international teammate Gary Medel.

Vidal, 33, has a contract with Barca until 2021 and has stressed his desire to see out the deal, despite the club's willingness to move him on this summer.

He has been linked with a move to Inter Milan -- either separately or as part as a move for striker Lautaro Martinez -- but a return to South America may be preferred by the midfielder, who's also played for Juventus and Bayern Munich.

"Vidal wants to go to Boca, with or without me," Bologna's Medel, who has been linked with a return to former club Boca himself, told Radio Continental. "He loves Boca and is dying to go there."

14.39 BST: Achraf Hakimi has been attracting attention from across Europe but his agent has said that playing for Real Madrid is still his priority. 

The right-back is on loan at Borussia Dortmund but is nearing the end of a two season spell in Germany. 

Despite being eager to line out at the Bernabeu, his agent stressed that the 21-year-old isn't putting pressure on a return. 

"He will link up with Madrid when the championship ends," Alejandro Camano told Onda Madrid. "We'll see what happens. He wants to play games, like he has this year, when he has been a starter in all the matches.

"There is no hurry. The only aspiration he has is to play games in the path of his formation.

"With Madrid there's a magnificent dialogue and they want to have him on their radar and what we want is to not be too far away from Real Madrid." 

13.35 BST: Lille striker Victor Osimhen is interested in a move to Tottenham but only if the club sells Harry Kane, according to an interview with his agent in the Nigerian newspaper the Cable. 

The 21-year-old scored 18 goals in his debut season in France and caught the attention of Spurs manager Jose Mourinho. 

However, his agent Ariyo Igbayilola has said he had already warned Mourinho that Osimhen will not move to North London if he will be playing second fiddle to Kane. 

"If Kane is still playing for Tottenham will Victor play? Because he will always be benched for him," Igbayilola said.

"Kane is their number one striker and he is the captain of England. All of these will always work for him in the club but at Victor's detriment.

"He needs a club where he will always play full game week in, week out. Not to be kept on the bench."

12.29 BST: Pep Guardiola held talks with Vincent Kompany about possibly returning to Manchester City, according to the Times. 

Kompany has committed his future to Anderlecht beyond 2022 but it is being reported that Guardiola held informal talks with the 34-year-old about filling the space left on his coaching team by Mikel Arteta's departure. 

City had previously said that the door would be open if the former captain was interested in a return. 

However, Kompany reportedly wants to play until at least 2022 as he believes he has a chance of making the Qatar World Cup. 

11.36 BST: With sources confirming to ESPN that Mauro Icardi is set to make his loan move from Inter Milan to Paris Saint-Germain permanent, Frank Leboeuf told ESPN FC TV that the Argentina forward has a lot to offer the French champions.

10.45 BST: Philippe Coutinho has been linked with a return to the Premier League with several big clubs reportedly interested, but former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov believes bringing the Brazilian to Old Trafford would be "pointless."

Bayern Munich have already confirmed they will not be taking up the option to make his loan move from Barcelona permanent, and the former Liverpool playmaker's future at the Camp Nou is uncertain.

"There have been a lot of Premier League clubs linked with him, Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle and even Manchester United, but sometimes the obvious choice isn't always the correct one," Berbatov told Betfair.

"Everyone thought he would do great when he moved to Barcelona but it didn't work out, sometimes you need to step back to go forwards, he will go to a good team there is no question about that, but he needs the trust of a manager to believe in him and make him the main man so that he can play calm and be free to do what he does.

"Other people will see him linked with a move to United and they will point out his connections with Liverpool and how he would never be forgiven if he switched to Old Trafford, but honestly, United don't need him right now. Bruno Fernandes is a very similar player; he really hit the ground running and looks to be a very promising signing so I don't think there would be any point in United signing him. [Paul] Pogba is coming back, Fernandes is there, [Scott] McTominay is producing great football as well, they have enough quality there so signing Coutinho would be pointless."

09.52 BST: Barcelona are refusing to rule out the departure of Arthur Melo despite the midfielder's insistence on staying, according to Diario AS.

Arthur, 23, has been offered to Juventus in exchange for Miralem PJanic but told both Juve and Barca this week that he was not interested in a move to Italy. In April, he had already released a statement committing his future to Barcelona.

However, a report in AS says the issue has not been closed as far as Barca are concerned. They say a club source says: "Nothing has been ruled out yet. We're going to wait and see what [Arthur] thinks when the season ends."

09.00 BST: Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has said on loan Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez still has a future at the club, despite an underwhelming campaign in Italy. The Chile international joined the club on a season-long loan at the beginning of the 2019-20 campaign, but injuries and suspensions have restricted him to just one goal in 15 appearances in all competitions.

Sources have told ESPN that Inter are among the sides interested in signing out-of-contract Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani, but Ausilio has suggested good performances from Sanchez for the remainder of the campaign could change their thinking.

"Edinson is not a priority simply because our attack is formed of [Lautaro] Martinez, [Romelu] Lukaku and Sanchez," Ausilio told Sky Sport Italia. "The latter, above all, now has the chance to show his worth and we will evaluate the situation."

Argentina international Martinez is a prime target for Barcelona once the transfer window opens, but Ausilio has said the only way the forward will be sold is if his €111 million release clause is met within the next six weeks.

"We have invested a lot in him since he was very young," Ausilio said. "In these years, he has grown a lot and will continue to thanks to [manager Antonio] Conte, the system and a strike partner such as Lukaku.

"He is an asset for the club. There is a clause which would see him leave if met, but the expiry date is July 7.

PAPER TALK (by Harry Kettle): Arsenal secure Lewis signing?

Arsenal may have sealed their first signing of the season in the form of Norwegian star George Lewis, according to the Evening Standard.

The 19-year-old impressed during a recent trial with the club with Jostein Jensen, sporting director of Lewis' former club Fram Larvik, stating in a recent interview with Norwegian outlet VG that the deal is all but done.

It would mark the first signing of the summer for Arsenal as manager Mikel Arteta attempts to slowly but surely rebuild the club in his own vision.

PSG finalise deal for Icardi stay

PSG have agreed to a deal with Inter Milan to sign Mauro Icardi permanently, sources have confirmed to ESPN. The Argentine striker spent the 2019-2020 season in Paris on loan and will now sign a four-year deal with the French champions.
