TOP STORY: Man United make £50m bid for Fernandes
Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes has been linked with a move to Manchester United throughout the summer -- and according to the Daily Mirror it's now all systems go.
It is reported that United have lodged a bid of £50 million to finally land the midfielder, offering wages of £100,000-a-week.
Tottenham have been mentioned in relation to the 24-year-old, who scored 31 goals in 50 appearances in all competitions for Sporting last season, but United have always been at the head of the queue.
With three weeks left in the transfer window, United now appear to have decided it's time to make their move.

22.17 BST: Even with Antoine Griezmann joining and Neymar potentially following suit, Barcelona are presently feeling no pressure to offload Malcom on the cheap, with Marca reporting that the Catalan club has told the player's representatives that they won't stand in his way should an offer come in for him, so long as it meets their €60m valuation, amid interest from Tottenham and Everton.

20.43 BST: Real Betis and midfielder Giovani Lo Celso have come to an agreement, according to ABC de Sevilla, in which the Seville club will part with the Argentina international should any club submit an offer of €75m or more, with Tottenham being consistently credited with interest in the past few weeks.
19.56 BST: Talks between Real Madrid and Napoli over the potential loan of James Rodriguez have stalled, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, clearing the way for Atletico to purchase the Colombia international playmaker outright.
19.09 BST: Bayern Munich have been linked with a move for Manchester City winger Leroy Sane all summer, and former Germany captain Lothar Matthaus tells ESPN FC that the 23-year-old could become the face of the Bundesliga champions.
18.22 BST: While Barcelona remains Neymar's preferred destination, he would also consider moves to Real Madrid, Juventus and Bayern Munich, according to Catalan outlet Mundo Deportivo, which adds that the Brazilian's No. 1 priority this summer is getting out of Paris Saint-Germain.

16.48 BST: Bayern Munich have ended their interest in Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to the Independent.
The German giants have reportedly given up on the deal after becoming resigned to the fact that Chelsea will not let the young star go.
Hudson-Odoi nearly joined the Bundersliga champions in January in a deal that ultimately fell through.
Bayern will now look to other targets to replace wingers Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery who both left the club this summer. The club made a failed attempt to sign Man City's Leroy Sane earlier in the window, but could now be after Dalian Yifang's Yannick Carrasco.
16.20 BST: PSG sporting director Leonardo remains interested in Lazio's Sergej Milinkovic Savic and could soon make a move, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic was previously valued at around €90m, with club President Claudio Lotito looking for a significant return on the player.
15.37 BST: Southampton striker Charlie Austin has been made to train with the club's under-23 squad amid reports of his desire to leave St. Mary's, Sky Sports has reported.
Austin, 30, played 25 games in the Premier League last season, scoring just two goals, and is currently on the club's transfer list.
15.03 BST: Newcastle United are nearing closer to a deal for Hoffenheim striker Joelinton, accoridng to German outlet Bild.
The deal could be worth a reported club-record €60m, with the Magpies having been interested in the forward since January.
Joelinton was left out of Hoffenheim's match day squad for their preseason friendly against Jahn Regensburg on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old Brazilian striker made 28 Bundesliga appearances last season, scoring seven goals.
14.35 BST: Spurs duo Danny Rose and Kieran Trippier have been left out of the squad's preseason tour of Asia, the club have confirmed.
Rose has been granted additional time off in order to explore "prospective opportunities with other clubs."
The 29-year-old left-back made 37 appearances in all competitions last season, including a start in Spur's Champions League final loss to Liverpool in June.
Tripper is expected to leave the club this summer and sign for Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.
Striker Vincent Janssen and winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou have also been given time off to find other clubs and won't feature on the preseason tour.
14.15 BST: Espanyol starlet Marc Roca has an agreement to join Bayern Munich, but the negotiations between the club are still far away, sources have told ESPN FC.
The La Liga side are demanding his full €40m release clause to part ways with the Spain under-21 international, but sources close to the player have told ESPN FC that Bayern are only willing to pay €30m.
13.49 BST: Manchester United star Paul Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, has continued to stoke rumours that the French International will leave Old Trafford this summer, the Daiy Mail have reported.
'Pogba is in Manchester today. I don't know tomorrow,' Raiola -- who is in Turin having concluded a deal with Juventus for his client Matthijs de Ligt -- reportedly said.
'We'll take things day by day, without rushing or worrying. Football has no certainties and destiny has never been written.'
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said in a news conference on Tuesday that Pogba can still find the "new challenege" that he is looking for if he remains at the club.
13.16 BST: West Ham have announced the signing of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Sebastien Haller in a club-record deal.
The 25-year-old forward has signed on a five-year deal, with the option of a further year, for an undisclosed fee, making him West Ham's fourth signing so far this summer.
"It means a lot [to be the record signing]," Haller said. "I know it's a big transfer and there is a lot of expectation around me, and I just want to make people proud of this transfer and I will give everything I have."
West Ham's previous record signing was Brazilian midfielder Felipe Anderson from Lazio last July for a reported initial £35m, rising to a potential £42m.

13.06 BST: Widely tipped to be Germany's next Manuel Neuer, the FC Schalke 04 and Germany under-21 keeper Alexander Nübel has entered the final 12 months of his current deal with the club.
While the Royal Blues want to extend his contract, the 22-year-old shot-stopper wants to take his time before deciding his next move. Linked with Bayern Munich, a source told ESPN FC that "clubs with ambitions from Germany and abroad" are interested in signing Nubel.
Last term, Nubel featured in 18 Bundesliga games for Schalke 04 as he demoted then-club captain Ralf Fahrmann to the bench. His former rival has since joined Norwich City on a year-loan.
12.35 BST: Bayern Munich's Jerome Boateng remains keen on a move to PSG after the deal did not happen last summer, according to French Football.
The 30-year-old defender made 20 league appearances for Bayern last season, but an approach is yet to be made for the 2014 World Cup-winning centre-back.
11.50 BST: Gremio star Everton has agreed a £36m move to Arsenal and will have a medical in Brazil, Fox Sports have reported.
The 23-year-old winger -- who represented Brazil in the country Copa America win in July-- will move to the Emirates as the Gunners have reportedly sent a doctor to South America to complete the player's medical.
11.20: BST: Fulham midfielder Jean Michael Seri is close to agreeing a season-long loan move to Turkish side Galatasaray with an option to buy, according to Sky Sports.
The 27-year-old Ivory Coast international made 35 league appearances for Fullham last season, scoring just one goal.
10.43 BST: Arsenal are close to completing a loan move for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, according to the Mirror.
The Spain under-21 star -- who scored two goals in the side's triumphant Euro under-21 campaign in June -- will reportedly make a one-year switch to the Gunners.
Arsenal will pay 100 percent of the player's current contract, along with a £2.7m fee for the move.
Ceballos is keen to leave the Bernabeu on loan this summer in order to kick start his career after making little impact in Madrid since moving from Real Betis in 2017.
10.15 BST: Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has urged the club to reinforce the squad ahead of the new season, according to German outlet Kicker.
"Without transfers it'll get difficult," the Poland international told reporters at the side of the club's ongoing U.S. tour.
"It's not ideal," Lewandowski, one of Bundesliga's all-time greats, added. "We need more players for competition within the squad, for the quality in training. I hope something happens soon. It will get difficult to compete for the big trophies without transfers. Bayern did not do any big transfers in the past two years."
The Bundesliga champions have already spent €115 million on the two French World Cup-winning defenders Lucas Hernandez and Benjamin Pavard. However they have had no success so far replacing wingers Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben, who both left the club this summer.
9.50 BST: Newcastle have announced Steve Bruce as their new manager, replacing former boss Rafa Benitez who now coaches in China.
Bruce spent the second half of last season as head coach of Championship side Sheffield Wednesday, before resigning as manager to open the door for a switch to St. James' Park.

Dortmund "Kean" on move for Moise
Bundesliga runners-up Borussia Dortmund are plotting a move for young Juventus striker Moise Kean, according to reports at Calciomercato.
Dortmund had initially been linked with a move for Kean's Juve teammate Mario Mandzukic, but Lucien Favre's side are now believed to have turned their attention to a forward 14 years younger than the Croatian, as they search for their next future star.
Signing Kean won't come cheap, however, with Juventus having already rejected a bid of around €30 million from Everton, and Calciomercato also claims that Ajax are in talks with the Bianconeri regarding a deal for the three-cap Italy international.
Reports reckon it will take a bid of at least €40 million to convince the Serie A champions to sell the 19-year-old, who burst on to the scene last season with seven goals in 17 league appearances.
Milan looking for Modric magic
Real Madrid's Luka Modric is on Milan's radar should the La Liga side decide to sell the Croatian sensation.
According to Sky Sport Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio, the player's agent was meeting with Madrid officials over other clients when the possibility of Modric going to the Italian club emerged.
The Spanish side aren't actively looking to sell the Balon d'Or winner, but parting ways with Modric could help Los Blancos buoy future spending.
Roma's Alderweireld chase could cost club Zaniolo
Roma are close to striking a deal that sees Spurs defender Toby Alderweireld head to the Eternal City, but reports in The Mirror claim they may have to lose one of their rising stars if they are to land the Belgian.
The sticking point in negotiations so far has been the Serie A side's reluctance to meet the £25 million release clause in Alderweireld's contract in north London, but negotiations could be about to make a breakthrough, with Tottenham interested in Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo.
The 20-year-old Italy international is angling for a pay rise at the Stadio Olimpico, but officials in Rome have told him to earn one on the pitch first, and Mauricio Pochettino is hoping to use those tensions to his club's advantage as talks continue between the two sides.

- The Telegraph claims Manchester City are willing to let £42 million centre back Eliaquim Mangala leave the Etihad on a free transfer, after he was left out of the travelling squad for the club's Premier League Asia Trophy tour in China. The 28-year-old has been linked with moves to Portugal and Turkey.
- After baulking at Liverpool's asking price for centre back Dejan Lovren, AC Milan have identified Newcastle's Fabian Schar as a cheaper alternative, according to reports at Calciomercato. The Switzerland international is believed to be valued at around €15 million by the Magpies.
- Reports in Marca claim Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with Espanyol midfielder Marc Roca over a move to Bavaria, but the two clubs are yet to agree a fee for the Spain Under-21 international. Espanyol are believed to be looking for a fee in the region of €40 million.
