We've all been there. It's 2 a.m. and your team is ON FIRE. Just one more game? Yeah, I don't need to be up until 6 a.m. ...

Yep, it's the wonderful world of Football Manager, where you take control of any team in the world you wish and try and lead them to ultimate glory.

- Haland hat trick among greatest UCL debuts
- You're saying Felix, Shaqiri, De Bruyne's names wrong

Two hours (otherwise known as the postseason trawl through the free transfer market) can fly by in the blink of an eye.

The release of this season's game is drawing nearer, which means Premier League managers are now going to have to put with VAR in real life AND in the football sim.

We run through the exciting new features that have been unveiled.

Messi's new clothing range

As well as being the finest footballer on the planet, Lionel Messi is also something of a budding fashion mogul.

The Barcelona star debuted his new eponymous "Messi" clothing range at a lavish launch event at the Paseo de Gracia hotel in the heart of the Catalan city on Thursday night.

The line is largely made up of straightforward streetwear, liberally plastered in Messi's branding and signature No. 10 graphic -- not a burgundy velvet tuxedo in sight.

The Messi range has been designed in collaboration with the player's sister, Maria Sol, and her business partner Ginny Hilfiger, sister of Tommy.

"It's a dream come true," Maria told the crowd. "Fashion is what I like the most, ever since I was a child, and it was always a dream of mine to be involved with a clothing brand.

"I studied a lot to dedicate myself to this profession. When an opportunity such as this one presents itself, you have to take advantage of it."

Fiorentina owner gets musical

Fiorentina's new owner, Rocco Commisso, has wasted little time immersing himself in the culture and the history of the football club he purchased three months ago.

At a recent meeting, the Italian-American businessman, who also owns a majority stake in the New York Cosmos, took a seat at the piano and began to play the Fiorentina anthem, "La Canzone Viola."

He then encouraged his fellow guests to sing along.

A slow and unsteady start, but Commisso certainly got into the swing of it soon enough.

Hopefully, we can look forward to seeing him repeating the performance on matchdays throughout the season.

Tromso play the Joker

Tromso are set to play Stromsgodset in the Norwegian top flight this weekend, so beforehand the former went to great lengths in an attempt to unsettle their opponents and their fans.

Indeed, Tromso prepared a special video which saw The Joker (sporting a Stromsgodset replica shirt) terrorising several of their players with feathers and bowling balls.

At least that was before a masked hero stepped forth from the shadows, wearing a Tromso shirt.

Quite what that all has to do with the match itself is anybody's guess, though it might be worth mentioning that Stromsgodset won 3-1 the last time the two sides met.

Tromso will obviously be hoping they don't succumb to another bad day.

A film based on The Joker, ingeniously called Joker, has also just been realised, starring Joaquin Phoenix.
