Leeds to beat Brentford in midweek Championship battle?

Another fine weekend for the column as our treble won while we also called Rennes' shock win over PSG in Ligue 1 at 13/2. There's action from the Champions League, Europa League and the Championship this week including Leeds United's clash with Brentford.

Running total: +£16.59

The Banker

Our ante-post pick for the Championship, Leeds have made a solid start to the season and they can secure a first home win of the season against Brentford on Wednesday night.

Head coach Marcelo Bielsa heaped praised on Patrick Bamford following his brace against Wigan Athletic at the weekend and the Peacocks should be too good for Brentford, who drew 1-1 with Hull last time out. The Bees lost Neal Maupay to Brighton during the transfer window and, while a top 10 finish is not beyond them this season, we fancy the 6/4 that bet365 are offering for Leeds to win this by more than a goal.

Selection: £4 on Leeds (-1) to win at 6/4 with bet365.

The First Goal Flutter

Manchester United travel to Wolves on Monday evening for what should be a fascinating encounter. The Molineux outfit beat United at home in the FA Cup and the league last season, but with Wolves' Europa League commitments and United's £80m acquisition of Harry Maguire the bookies make the Red Devils 11/8 betting favourites for this. Anthony Martial should partner Marcus Rashford in attack and the Frenchman looks a tempting bet at 13/2 to score first. Martial scored one in United's 4-0 Premier League drubbing of Chelsea last week and he has reclaimed the No. 9 shirt Zlatan Ibrahimovic took off him three years ago after Romelu Lukaku departed.

Selection: £2 on Martial to score first at 13:2 with bet365.

The Tasty Treble

There's more Champions League qualifying action this week and it could be worth following surprise package LASK Linz at home. The Austrian side beat FC Basel home and away in the last round and look tempting at 13/10 to see off Club Brugge. Linz are bidding to become the fifth Austrian side to appear in the Champions League group stages and the first since Austria Wien in 2013-14.

Elsewhere, Olympiakos look solid at 19/20 to beat Krasnodar at home. Krasnodar have been quietly rising to the top of the Russian game over the past few seasons but their Greek opponents have won all four playoff matches in the competition so far and are notoriously hard to beat on home soil. Finally, add in Dutch giants Ajax to beat APOEL Nicosia at 2/5 for a Champions League treble paying better than 5/1 with bet365.

Selection: £4 on the treble at 5.27/1 with bet365.

The Wildcard Tip

Celtic fans must make do with Europa League football this season but the good news for them is this week's European opponents AIK were booed off the park as they lost ground in the Swedish title race after a home loss to Kalmar at the weekend. Neil Lennon's side have been pretty erratic themselves so far this season but can nail down a first leg advantage in Glasgow and we fancy a 2-0 result on Thursday night.

Selection: £1 on Celtic to win 2-0 at 6/1 with bet365.
