2022 World Cup stats: Neymar joins Messi, Ronaldo; Perisic's record 10

Another pulsating day of World Cup football with Brazil and Croatia making it to the quarterfinals after beating South Korea and Japan in their Round of 16 matches respectively. Japan's match against Croatia ended 1-1 after extra time and last year's beaten finallist advanced after clinching the penalty shootout.

Brazil played like true title contenders, blasting four goals against South Korea in the first-half and winning the match 4-1.

Japan vs. Croatia

Dominik Livakovic saved three penalties against Japan. He's tied with the most saves in a single shootout in the World Cup along with Croatia's Danijel Subasic vs Denmark in 2018 and Portugal's Ricardo in 2006 vs England.

Croatia have won all three times when their World Cup matches went to the penalties (2018 Round of 16, 2018 quarterfinals and 2022 Round of 16).

Ivan Perisic is tied with Davor Suker for scoring most World Cup goals for Croatia.
