Manchester United and Chelsea grabbed narrow wins, while Arsenal remained unbeaten and on top of the table with a win over Fulham.

Real Madrid also sit atop LaLiga, thanks to Karim Benzema (who else?), while Barcelona thrashed Valladolid to go third. Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich both lead their respective league tables with 10 points after earning draws this weekend. The top 6 teams in Serie A remain tied on seven points, with Napoli leading the way in goal-difference.

By The Numbers brings you the best stats from a cracking weekend of football:

PREMIER LEAGUE

9

Liverpool tied Manchester United and Leicester City for the biggest-ever PL win (9-goal difference), while also earning equaling their biggest-ever win in the English top-flight (9-0 vs Crystal Palace on September 1989).

It was also the eighth time Liverpool won a game played at Anfield by 9+ goals in all competitions.

0

Prior to the 9-0 win, Liverpool had scored 5+ goals on 17 occasions with Mohamed Salah on the pitch since 2017-18 - he only failed to score or assist in one of those matches (5-0 win vs Watford on February 2019).

16

Bournemouth now have the ignominy of the most goals allowed during a three-game Premier League span in a single season - 16.

7

Manchester United snapped their seven-game losing streak on the road in the Premier League, the worst in the competition since 1992-93, with a win over Southampton, whom they haven't lost to since 2016 (7W 7D 0L).

37

Only Mohamed Salah (54), Harry Kane (49) and Son Heung-Min (45) have scored more Premier League goals than Bruno Fernandes (37) since his debut in February 2020. However, this was only the Portuguese playmaker's second goal in his last 17 games across all competitions.
