Stats: Cristiano Ronaldo 1, Lille 4, AC Milan 16, Sergio Aguero 184

Lille were crowned champions of France, a point ahead of mighty Paris Saint-Germain in the headline act of a thrilling Sunday that brought to a close the remainder of the 'big five' European leagues. In England, Chelsea and Liverpool qualified for next year's Champions League, leaving Leicester City to contend themselves with a place in the Europa League. Manchester City and Manchester United, meanwhile, both won. In Italy, another three-way battle for the final two Champions League spots ended with AC Milan and Juventus making it, with Napoli finishing fifth. Oh, and Cristiano Ronaldo now has another bit of trivia to his name.

Here are the best stats from the final Sunday of the 2020-21 season:

Premier League

0

Manchester United have become just the fourth side to remain unbeaten away from home across an entire English top-flight campaign (P19 W12 D7 L0), after Preston (1888-89), Arsenal (2001-02) and Arsenal again (2003-04). All the other teams won the division.

2

Harry Kane finished the season topping both the PL goal-scoring and assist-making charts (23 goals, 14 assists). This is only the second time in PL history a player has finished with the outright most goals and assists, after Andy Cole in 1993-94.

3

Kane has won the PL Golden Boot for a third season (also won in 2015-16 and 2016-17). He's now only the third player in the PL era to win the award as many as three times, after Thierry Henry (4) and Alan Shearer (3).

In the history of the English top-flight, Kane is the seventh player to do so, after Jimmy Greaves (6), Steve Bloomer (5), Thierry Henry (4), John Campbell, Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer (3 each).

5

Everton's 5-0 loss to Manchester City was the heaviest defeat of Carlo Ancelotti's managerial career in what was his 1,167th game in management.

19

Anthony Elanga became the 19th different teenager to score a PL goal for Manchester United -- only Arsenal (20) have had more teenagers find the net for them in the competition's history.

26

Manchester United's PL unbeaten away streak has now reached 26 games, one shy of matching Arsenal's record of 27 games (April 2003-September 2004).

84

Gareth Bale averaged a goal every 84 minutes in the PL this season. For players with 10+ goals, only Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 1998-99 has a better minutes/goal ratio in a single season in the competition (one every 71 minutes).

110

Chelsea are the first side since Everton in 1910-11, 110 years ago, to finish in the top four in the English top-flight despite having no player reach double-figures (in terms of goals scored) in the league that season.

184

Sergio Aguero has scored 184 PL goals for Manchester City, breaking the competition record for most goals scored for a single club that had been held by Wayne Rooney (183 for Manchester United).

242

Leicester City ended more days (242) in the PL's top four than any other side this season and yet failed to finish in the top four.

Ligue 1

4

This is Lille's fourth Ligue 1 title -- after triumphs in 1946, 1954 and 2011. Lille are just the third team to win at least two Ligue 1 titles in the 21st century, after Lyon and PSG (seven each).

21

Lille keeper Mike Maignan kept more clean sheets (21) than any other goalkeeper in Europe's top five leagues this season, conceding just 23 goals.

25

With his goal against Brest, Kylian Mbappe has now scored against 25 of the 26 teams he has faced in Ligue 1. The only exception? PSG, whom he had played twice before joining them.

Serie A

2

Second-placed AC Milan finished just two points ahead of fifth-placed Napoli, the first time that second place and fifth place have been that closely separated in Serie A since 1942.

To put that in context, here's how many times it's happened in the history of each of Europe's top five leagues -- England, eight times (last in 1983); Italy, three times (2021, 1942, 1938); Spain, four times (last in 2006); France, once (1951); Germany, never.

7

AC Milan will return to play the Champions League for the first time since 2013-14 (when they were eliminated in the last 16 against Atletico Madrid), seven seasons ago.

10

The two Milan clubs have finished in the top two in Serie A for the first time since the 2010-11 season, 10 years ago.

11

Franck Kessie's 11 Serie A penalty goals this season (two on Sunday) for AC Milan are the most by a player in Europe's top five leagues.

16

AC Milan have set a new all-time record for away wins in a Serie A season with 16. No side has ever done better in the top five European leagues in a single campaign (Real Madrid also managed 16 away wins in 2011-12, as did Manchester City in 2017-18).

Messi-Ronaldo corner

Ronaldo didn't play, much like his great rival on Saturday, but that doesn't mean we won't talk about him.

1

Ronaldo is the first player to finish as top scorer in Serie A, Premier League, and La Liga. That's now five Golden Boots in three different leagues in three different decades for Ronaldo -- 2007-08 in PL (31 goals), 2010-11, 2013-14, and 2014-15 in La Liga (40, 31, and 48 goals, respectively), and now the 2020-21 Serie A (29 goals).
