Arsenal need penalties to beat Angers in friendly

Arsenal prevailed 4-3 in a penalty shootout over Angers after the friendly match finished in a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes.

Reiss Nelson scored in the second half for Arsenal to cancel out Farid El Melali's 13th minute strike that had the hosts ahead at the break.

Unai Emery's team play Barcelona in the Trofeo Joan Gamper friendly on Aug. 4 before kicking off their Premier League campaign away to Newcastle on Aug. 11.
