Arjen Robben returns to Netherlands squad for Belgium, Luxembourg games

Arjen Robben has been recalled to the Netherlands squad for the friendly against Belgium and the World Cup qualifier in Luxembourg.

Bayern Munich forward Robben is in line to win his first cap for a year, with a succession of injury problems meaning he has not played for his country since scoring twice in a 3-2 win away to Wales last November.

Sporting Lisbon's left-sided player Marvin Zeegelaar has been called up by the Oranje for the first time, while the 25-man group contains eight Premier League players.

There are Manchester United pair Daley Blind and Memphis Depay, Southampton duo Jordy Clasie and Virgil van Dijk, Tottenham's Vincent Janssen and Michel Vorm, Everton's Maarten Stekelenburg and Liverpool's Georginio Wijnaldum.

Danny Blind's side face Belgium at the Amsterdam ArenA on Wednesday before travelling to Luxembourg for a Group A clash on Sunday.

Blind said Robben would only feature in the qualifier and added on the KNVB's website: "Obviously I am very happy that Arjen is back fit and playing."
