With a penalty save from Lionel Messi on his CV, Iceland goalkeeper Hannes Halldorsson is already one of Russia 2018's top personalities with just one World Cup game under his belt.
Halldorsson's performance in helping his side to a 1-1 draw against Argentina, one of the tournament favourites, had all the makings of a Hollywood movie, with drama to spare and a heroic finale.
But he would be quite at home on the silver screen as the Randers FC goalkeeper has another huge passion as well as football: cinema. And for a while it was his main source of income.
Halldorsson's page on the internet's largest authority on movies, The Internet Movie Data Base (iMDB), attributes him directing credits in a series of short films and videos. While he also served as assistant director for a clip for the Icelandic entry to the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest -- a song called Never Forget performed by Greta Salome and Jonsi which finished 20th.
The goalkeeper has also directed several documentaries and shot a Coca Cola advert which served as the official ad for its 2018 World Cup campaign.

Even before becoming a professional footballer the company he worked for, SagaFilm, promised the 34-year-old he could go back to working for them once his playing career ends.
Not that he is done with football yet. His six saves, the best performance by a goalkeeper so far in this World Cup, made him worthy of the Man of The Match award against Argentina.
It was an unforgettable epic performance from him, but a frightening horror movie for Messi & Co.
