Romelu Lukaku, Eden Hazard each 8/10 as Belgium run rampant over Tunisia

Belgium put on a show in a 5-2 win over Tunisia that put the Red Devils atop Group G. Braces from Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku -- the latter is now the joint leader of the World Cup's Golden Boot race with four goals -- and another goal from Michy Batshuayi ensured that Roberto Martinez's men were out of sight for much of the contest.

Positives

Belgium created a lot of scoring opportunities. It was a deserved win. Everyone did their jobs and played a strong game. They've now scored eight goals in only two games.

Negatives

They quickly conceded after going up 2-0; one moment of hesitation. In the end, Tunisia's second goal was avoidable.

Manager rating out of 10

7 -- Martinez started with the same lineup as he did in the 3-0 win over Panama. Two wins in two games, it was mission accomplished for the Spanish manager.

Player ratings (1-10; 10 = best. Players introduced after 70 minutes get no rating)

GK Thibaut Courtois, 6 -- Couldn't do a great deal about the goals from Dylan Bronn and Wahbi Khazri. Made some good saves, but most of the time had little to do.

DF Dedryck Boyata, 5 -- There would be no call for offside on Bronn's goal thanks to the right foot of Boyata. The weakest link of the Belgium defence in the first half, but was better in the second half.

DF Jan Vertonghen, 6 -- Most experienced Belgian defender stayed very alert the whole game. Didn't give Tunisia any hope for more goals. A decent performance.

DF Toby Alderweireld, 7 -- Didn't have much work to do in the first half. Had a chance in the second half but put it well over. Created an excellent assist from behind for Hazard's second goal.

MF Axel Witsel, 7 -- Played very high to put high pressure on Tunisia. The midfielder's passing was effective in allowing Belgium to establish their dominance.

MF Kevin De Bruyne, 6 -- Good passing, but on the day he was definitely in the shadow of Hazard and Lukaku.

MF Yannick Carrasco, 7 -- Had a big opportunity in the first half, but Farouk Ben Mustapha made a great save to deny him. Was involved in every Belgian attack.

MF Thomas Meunier, 6 -- Had the assist on Lukaku's second goal, and was also a part of many of Belgium's scoring opportunities. Defensively, spent most of his time unoccupied.

FW Romelu Lukaku, 8 -- A masterclass. Lukaku is on fire, scoring his third and fourth goals in his second match this tournament. He was a constant threat for the Tunisian defence, who were powerless to stop him. Lukaku is in the best form of his life. A joy to watch.

FW Eden Hazard, 8 -- Hazard got Belgium off to an excellent start by earning and converting a penalty after only six minutes. His second goal, on 51 minutes, was the cherry on the cake. Rested after 68 minutes.

FW Dries Mertens, 6 -- Assisted on Lukaku's first goal. The Napoli man was hard-working, but had no luck in finding the back of the net this time after scoring against Panama.

Substitutes

MF Marouane Fellaini, 6 -- Came on after 59 minutes to replace Lukaku. Played his part. Good passing and coaching in the midfield. Nothing more.

FW Michy Batshuayi, NR -- Took the place of Hazard on 68 minutes and scored his first goal in a World Cup. Batshuayi was unlucky at first, having an attempt cleared off the goal line and a shot hit the woodwork, but his goal came off a great finish.

MF Youri Tielemans, NR -- Come on for Mertens after 86 minutes to help see the game out.
