LIVE Transfer Talk: Barcelona scouting Wolves' teen Portuguese sensation Ruben Vinagre

The transfer window for Europe's biggest clubs is closed, but click here for all the deals. Transfer Talk will continue to scour the world's media and set correspondents loose to see what's on the agenda for the summer.

TOP STORY: Barca eye Wolves' Portuguese wonderkid

Wolves may have lost their FA Cup semifinal against Watford at Wembley on Sunday, but Barcelona won't be deterred in chasing one of Nuno Espirito Santo's top prospects. The Spanish giants have sent an army of scouts to watch youthful left-back whiz-kid Ruben Vinagre, who has been little short of sensational for the Black Country side this season.

He arrived at Molineux for £10 million last summer after impressing on a loan deal from Monaco in the Championship and now Portuguese rumour mongers O Jogo report that Barcelona wouldn't be averse to spending considerably more than that to bring him to La Liga.

The former Sporting Lisbon academy graduate has caught Barca's eye before and their interest in him is apparently still as strong as ever -- which is hardly surprising given that Vinagre has been absolutely top drawer for Wolves since August.

LIVE BLOG

22.30 BST: That's your lot for tonight, transfer fans. Be sure to head back tomorrow for more gossip.

21.48 BST: Manchester City are set to confuse the entire football world by landing a player called Everton from under the noses of AC Milan.

Everton, a 23-year-old striker who plays for Gremio, rather than a Premier League club from Merseyside, is attracting attention and has a £90m buyout clause. Though half that would be enough to snare him, say the Sun.

20.38 BST: Andy Carroll is out for the season after ankle surgery and will likely have played his last game for West Ham as his contract is up this summer.

So where next for a striker that once cost Liverpool £35m? MLS, says the Times.

19.45 BST: ESPN FC's Alejandro Moreno has some thoughts on who will be moving this summer.

18.55 BST: Wolves have been happy to splash the cash and it's clearly working as they're doing just fine in the Premier League one year after their promotion.

But while they've already broken their transfer record to sign Mexico striker Raul Jiminez for £30m recently, Le10 Sport reckon they are going to break it again for midfielder Morgan Sanson and have made a verbal offer of £36m (€42m) to his club Marseille.

18.03 BST: PSG have turned their attentions to landing Juventus full-back Alex Sandro, according to AS.

The paper claims "both clubs have opened talks on the defender, who is expected to carry a pricetag in the region of €50million" which leaves Juventus free to turn their attentions to signing Marcelo from Real Madrid. Just Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly wants them to do.

17.24 BST: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has insisted Paul Pogba will still be a Manchester United player next season and urged the midfielder to show his worth against Barcelona.

"His game against PSG was not his greatest moment. He's only focused on playing and I cannot not see him playing for Man United next season," he told a news conference. "Paul at his best can run a game like this and you expect him to put his stamp on it."

17.08 BST: "He's young and he's talented, one of the best I've played with..." so said Wayne Rooney to the Washington Post in February about DC United teammate Luciano Acosta.

Now Manchester United are reportedly tracking Acosta, who almost signed for PSG in January, and United scouts watched on as DC took on LAFC last weekend. A 4-0 defeat where Rooney was sent off -- perhaps not the best stage to showcase the midfielder's talent. Still...

"I'm obviously happy [United] were here," Acosta said. "They came to see me, and obviously I just went out and tried my best. Today wasn't my day, we were up against a great opponent and in reality I'm just sad for the group's performance today, and mine too."

DC might yet land a player in return though, with United full-back Antonio Valencia retweeting a post that said he was about to sign a two-year contract with the MLS club.

16.42 BST: Panamanian forward Omar Browne -- destroyer of Toronto FC in the CONCACAF Champions League -- is reportedly going to sign with the Montreal Impact on loan, according to El Marcador.

16.17 BST: Fiorentina have not made a decision over a new manager following Stefano Pioli's resignation, sources have told ESPN FC.

Following Saturday's 1-0 home loss against second bottom Frosinone, Fiorentina announced they would take 48 hours to assess the club's situation -- leading to speculation Pioli would leave his position.

That has now been confirmed, with assistant Giacomo Murelli taking training -- and sources have confirmed to ESPN FC that no decision has been made over a permanent successor.

15.38 BST: Bild reports that defensive midfielder Julian Weigl wants to leave Borussia Dortmund once the season comes to a close.

Weigl, 23, has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain and is the French club's top target for the summer, as he previously played under coach Thomas Tuchel.

14.38 BST: Various reports in Italy suggest Stefano Pioli has left his position as Fiorentina manager. Following Sunday's home defeat to second-bottom Frosinone, the club released a statement, which explained they would take 48 hours to discuss Pioli's future.

Gazzetta dello Sport also allege, standing outside his house in Florence, Pioli told reporters: "Soon, you will know everything."

13.41 BST: Real Madrid great Luis Figo has said it is "normal" Los Blancos would be interested in Roma youngster Nicolo Zaniolo.

Italy international Zaniolo has been one of the breakout players of the campaign -- and linked heavily with a move to some of Europe's biggest teams.

"It's normal," Figo said when asked about Madrid's interest in Zaniolo. "We we're dealing with a top player, all the big clubs are interested."

12.45 BST: A report in AS suggests Gareth Bale's future is looking more and more likely to be away from Real Madrid.

The Madrid-based outlet are reporting the Wales international has not reacted well to Zinedine Zidane's return and is not enjoying his football.

11.40 BST: Some top players at Europe's elite clubs are facing uncertain futures at the end of the season, including Paul Pogba, Eden Hazard, David De Gea and Gareth Bale.

Mark Ogden has run through the story so far with some blockbuster transfer sagas on the horizon. Read it here.

10.50 BST: Bayer Leverkusen are all but out of the race for the fourth and final Champions League spot in the Bundesliga, and with European football not certain the club are in danger of being raided for some key names in the summer.

Kai Havertz, 19, one of the Bundesliga's hottest properties this term, has been linked with a move away and so has Julian Brandt, 22, who reportedly has a €25 million release clause in his contract.

Germany international Brandt, who has been linked with Liverpool, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, has put his future on hold for now, saying: "The remainder of the season is far too important for me to waste thoughts on other things.

"My performance would suffer and the club which put trust in me over all those years does not deserve it. I will not make a decision before May 18, the final day of the season."

10.00 BST: Toronto FC held "exploratory" talks with Arjen Robben but are not actively pursuing a move for the Bayern Munich winger, a source has told ESPN FC.

The source added that there were brief discussions between TFC and Robben through a mutual acquaintance, but that the talks were "exploratory, nothing more" with Toronto moving on to other targets as the Reds look to strengthen their squad ahead of the closing of the league's primary transfer window on May 7.

09.15 BST: Staying on the theme, Gonzalo Higuain told ESPN FC after Chelsea's Premier League win against West Ham on Monday that it will be hard to change Eden Hazard's mind if he wants to leave the club.

"What can I tell you? Those are things that involve the club executives and the desire of the player," ex-Real Madrid forward Higuain said. "When a player has a desire, it is difficult to change his mind."

Higuain added: "Here what matters is Eden's decision and the decision of the board. I cannot do anything. He has not asked me [about life in Madrid] but if it's what makes him happy, I wish him the best. I hope he can stay."

08.30 BST: The summer of Hazards picked up pace on Monday when Borussia Monchengladbach sporting executive Max Eberl confirmed Thorgan Hazard revealed his future lies elsewhere.

"He wants to take the next step in his career by leaving the club," he said. "However, he still has a contract with us until 2020 and there is no release clause. Interested parties have to offer us a transfer fee that recognises his worth as an exceptional Bundesliga forward and a regular feature in one of the best national teams in the world."

Borussia Dortmund have been strongly linked with Eden Hazard's younger brother and could invest up to €40 million of Christian Pulisic's transfer fee, kicker reported.

The United States international will move permanently to Chelsea in the summer, where he could be one a replacement for Eden Hazard, who has his eyes on a move to Real Madrid.

PAPER TALK (by Richard Edwards)

Pogba to Madrid? Mais oui

The latest edition of France Football has published today and Manchester United might not like the front cover. Courtesy of Marca, Paul Pogba, complete with shushing finger, is pictured along with the caption "Pogba: Route to Real." All of which should be enough to have Ole Gunnar Solskjaer coughing into his corn flakes before meeting up with the Frenchman for morning training in the run-up to their Champions League clash with Barcelona on Wednesday.

Pogba's future has been a source of almost constant speculation since he come back to Old Trafford in the summer of 2016 for a then world record fee of £89.3m -- that's right, players used to be that cheap. And the rumours concerning a move away from Manchester United haven't been quieted by his improved form under his new Norwegian boss.

Now France Football appears convinced that he will be off again, probably this summer, with Real Madrid the most likely destination. Don't expect too many editions of the magazine to be available for browsing at the United training ground, though.

Tap-ins

- The rumour mill has been swirling around a possible Stamford Bridge departure for David Luiz, but the Brazil international poured cold water on those suggestions on Monday, telling ESPN FC that it is his "priority" to stay at Chelsea and is currently in talks with the club regarding a new deal.

Asked if his teammate Eden Hazard, who scored two brilliant goals in a masterclass for Chelsea against West Ham at Stamford Bridge, Luiz was less sure, saying only: "We will see."

- Speaking of the Hazards, Eden's brother Thorgan Hazard has told Borussia Monchengladbach of his intention to leave the club...sooner rather than later. The Evening Standard reports comments made by the club's sporting director Max Eberl, that Thorgan -- who is still under contract with the club until 2020 -- has no intention of sticking around after this season, which might be music to the ears of Liverpool, who have been linked with a move for the player in the past.

- Toronto FC held "exploratory" talks with Arjen Robben but is not actively pursuing a move for the Bayern Munich winger, a source has told ESPN FC.

A report from Calciomercato over the weekend indicated that Toronto was interested in signing Robben, whose contract with Bayern expires at the end of the current campaign. Robben, who has already indicated he won't return to Bayern after this season, has also reportedly drawn interest from Serie A side Inter Milan.
