Arsenal's Ozil hits unprecedented heights on Mt. Everest

Mesut Ozil has been a divisive figure during his time at the Emirates, delighting Arsenal fans with his playmaking one day and disappointing them with his inevitable fits of poor form.

But on Monday, the versatile attacking midfielder revealed he'd hit new heights on Mt. Everest (kind of) with this photo posted to Twitter.

OK, so maybe the 30-year-old didn't actually make the climb to Everest base camp some 5000-plus metres above sea level, but a signed version of his jersey did courtesy of the Nepal-based chapter of Arsenal's fan club.

And with Arsenal headed to the Europa League final against Chelsea on May 29, Gunners fans in Nepal and around the world will be hoping Arsenal and Ozil hit more peaks than valleys to bring home a trophy and a spot in next year's Champions League.
