Arsene Wenger: I love Bob Marley

Having spent the entire summer at his leisure, Arsene Wenger appeared to be in a relaxed mood when he took part in a candid interview on French television on Monday evening.

The former Arsenal manager was speaking to Christine Kelly, host of RTL show "What If?'" in a revealing chat that took in, among other things, his career highs and lows, his biggest guilty pleasure (eating daily pastries) and his musical preferences.

"I love Bob Marley. He's pure class, in a chill kind of way," the 68-year-old replied when asked about his admiration for the reggae icon.

"His music was surprising for back then. Also, there's something so sad about the fact he died at 35. He loved sport, music ... for me Jamaica reminds me of that.

"Sport and music go together very well I find."

Turns out Wenger loves himself a bit of Natural Mystic, having previously professed his love for Marley in a similar interview with Le Parisien in 2015.

"Yes, I love his (Marley's) music and the man that he was. He was not 'fabricated'. He was real," the then-Gunners boss said.

"I love people who do not have conventional paths and who stand out because of their talent."

Who knows, maybe that's why he spent £14million on Francis Jeffers way back when.
